Oh god, I've just caught up in this all in one go. Nerves shot to pieces, confused, possibly delerious. Still not clear what's actually happened. Can someone just tell me I've got this right:

1. Significant differences between the forecasts still
2. Rain is a certainty
3. How much rain, or if the rain will be prolonged or showery, is less certain
4. It's not looking very sunny - mainly overcast
5. It might be a bit chilly at night
6. There's a faint glimmer that this could change again
7. Several people have got engaged to CaledonianGonzo

For the record, I own neither an iPhone or a Samsung or even a phone. I do get to use a Nokia something or other which my work provides. It doesn't have any aps unless you count Snake of which I am a master.

All of a sudden and for no apparent reason a warm glow of optimisation has engulfed me. I've accepted it'll rain on the friday but im also certain it won't lead to armagedon and balls up everything for the entire weekend.

I remember walking around last year on the friday morning early doors and thinking it looked like a disaster zone everywhere. That turned out great and so will this. I refuse to believe anything different from this point onwards

My guess is we can probably take the Weds/Thurs forecasts as likely to be quite accurate now. Other than that I'd say best to just go and have fun and prepare for the worst (or the best!) outcomes. It is too soon to be sure about the weekend weather, in my opinion.

Damn, I just misread this and did a massive racehorse p*ss in my chair at work. Now I'm soaked in stinky water and the forecast hasn't changed. Thought I was doing you all a favour but all I've done now is alienate the office cleaner and make the rest of the day particularly uncomfortable.

I've tried both and it's more unpleasant than most of the years with the current minimal mm rain. It most likely occurred during a year with very heavy rain, with the aptly named "vodka day".

Latest GFS accumulative rainfall (06z run) is only 12mm for the whole festival. The previous two runs were 20-25mm and 40-45mm.
