Eagles not listed for Saturday?

If this has been mentioned please point me in the right direction...

Just did my daily check to make sure Metallica were still SR and see the eagles have been moved to unknown day (although still sr). Any explanation why?

Yeah I skipped through a few threads too but dound nought. Neil is so certain Kasabian are playing the Sunday and cant see AF moving days. Can't find any sense in them stayong SR yet having their day changes.

I'd put a few quid on it being a mistake haha

I'm a lot more excited at the prospect of them playing but not as headliners than I was if they were headlining.

I'd like to see them there but think they would not make a great headliner. Too static, no excitement in the show.

Has Eavis ever paid the Sunday "legend" a "headliner" fee? Whilst I think they're a no-brainer in that spot I doubt he can afford them. Also do their egos permit it, or are they so motivated by lucre that it'd be moot...

Leonard Cohen *might* be an example of a dude with the catalogue and rep to perhaps headline but not quite make the grade as the concluding performance, chiefly for reasons of dynanism and lack of crowdpleasing theatrics.

If Eavis has Eagles as subs and Metallica as Other Headliners then his next miracle will be to make lame beggars walk and blind men see.

I doubt Dylan has got anything approaching a decent fee for a while now, his career has largely been on the downturn since the early 90's, and I'd imagine he'd jump at the chance for most slots.

His recent set of US top albums (cant check, but a fair few number ones) is - by any standards - a remarkable late career purple patch.

While it could be argued that he's had a pickup in recent years, his career was fecked in terms of record sales in the nineties, and he struggled for a top ten. And that's in US. The UK figures are worse.

the 00's and onwards really seem to have had a habit of romanticising old acts who everybody thought were over and propelling them back in to the limelight / charts. has happened with an awful lot of acts. i don't know whether that's just because their 90's output was so awful and their later output has been genuinely better or what
