i know they're no strangers to controversy but it must be weird for them at this stage in their career for people to be saying 'you shouldn't play here'. Lars seems to really want to nail it though. his enthusiasm for the festival is great. really hope they knock it out of the park. fuck the haters

i know what you mean. But in all honesty he does exceptionally well considering every song has at least two solos where he has to alternate pick at tremendous speed and he does it for 19 tracks every night and the cold f*cks up your technique (and I know about it!) Anyway it'll be great to hear a full on Mesa Boogie Rectifier sound on that Pyramid!!!

Yep I agree! Although I do feel sympathy with them I think all this scepticism will make their show a lot better! They'll have pressure to pull off a great performance and show the sceptical people what they really can do, rather than playing an easy show to a bunch of metal heads they have a chance to make a mark on the world of Glastonbury.

I really think they will nail it big time, in a lot of peoples eyes they have nothing to loose, but in their own eyes i hope they come out feeling like they have everything to loose, especially if they televise a good chunk of it.
