Turns out the 2 Bears' first ever live show has got the Big Top headline slot, midnight on the Friday, so we can forget about Portishead.

Should be good though!

Listening to the 2 Bears' boiler room set and it's pretty good - can't help but think they're more suited to the port but also them closing the big top on friday will be pretttty good.

well it's not Portishead but i love The 2 Bears, and their first ever live show should be amazing. despite them playing numerous times at all the festivals i've been to in the past few years, i've managed to miss them every time (or saw them at Bestival '12 but was so wired / sleep deprived that i remember none of it)

Well there was more chance of two actual bears headlining the Big Top than Portishead, so at least that's over.

Judging by how far down they are on the poster compared to the other Big Top headliners I think it's safe to assume they're not headlining.

The way he worded his reply suggests that it was the answer to my question a couple of days earlier about whether the Friday headliner was still yet to be announced.

Either way, we're getting a lot more advance information this year about who's playing where and when. That said, it's not unknown for those things to change before September.

it is odd that they're so far down the lineup when Paloma Faith, Beck and Basement Jaxx are all near the top, so i'm hoping this means there's somebody else to come (although whether that means the Friday headliner either clashes with Outkast or is on really really late i don't know)

Two Bears live sounds great!!! Has anywhere posted about how its different to what they normally do? I'd love to see it regardless but wonder if it's going be "Live" DJ type thing or more sort of real instruments type affair?

Also Wild Beasts announced they are playing The Main stage on Saturday. (I am sure when I orginally read it last night it said 6pm but maybe i just misread 6th September )

Man I am getting bloody excited for this and I'm not even sure I am going yet! (I think i will, even if its alone, all the acts this year have just got me really excited and I can't put my finger on why, on the face of its not that special ...but compared to other festivals so this year, it appeals alot!))

You can see the appeal, especially after Wild Beasts' more upbeat latest album. Though something else, another big act would be great. Do we know when or where Paloma Faith is playing?

Anyone catch the Outkast set from Coachella?

I thought it was decent, I am one of those whose not a fan of Hip Hop live really but enjoyed the whole show quite a bit! It was a bit ropey in places but I reckon alot of those kinks will be ironed out by the time Bestival rolls around!
