But who's the Saturday IOW headliner?

I laughed it off when the IOW board said Green Day were headlining and they pulled out, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was true since they've kept the news about saturday headliner completely silent, even dodging questions about it.

Interesting to see who does headline now, given that implies they are a band available in the UK for a festival booking on a short term notice (In UK festivsl terms) meaning no other exclusive arrangements. Not that many options

I actually really like the new peace album, heres the link if you wanna listen http://mexicoindie.net/2015/02/stream-peace-happy-people/

I was lauding the album. It's a really good listen, just like the last one. Dunno why they get so much stick tbh.

mong

Use diff. word next time please. Not having a go, just saying.

It'll end up being someone good that was just held back because of other announcements and unquestionably not a backup.

Green Day were never looking like touring till the back end of this year anyway so if someone did pull out i dont think it was them.

Nah I actually meant not playing on the day Mumford are headining but I wasnt clear haha. I mean, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to say, but yeah, there's still the possibility I guess.

I think I get it now, the fact that they weren't allowed to say who they're playing under means that they must be playing under the headliner that hasn't been announced?

That kind of makes sense, although still a bit of an assumption.

Yeah I like it as well, preferred the first album but this one's still decent. Didn't think much of most of the bonus tracks mind.

I saw them supporting bombay bicycle club and apart from the odd flick of a whammy bar they didn't have much live, I think their recordings sound alright as well but wasn't overly impressed

Atmosphere in the NME tent in 2013 was bangin. Left half way through to spend my time hoppipolla to Frank Turner with my pals.

I spent that afternoon in FR, sure it was MS MR or Temples or something on at that time, trying to relax slightly before SOAD

    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
    • But I think the point of that Dan Needle tax thing...we need to put up income tax, for all incomes (and thresholds should be unfrozen).
    • There are no easy answers...more than anything we need growth...and probably main ways of getting that is borrowing more to invest in stuff that makes us super sexy, and/or cut taxes on business and wealth generation which would mean less money to spend on public services and welfare and would obviously be super unpopular and get you chucked out of govt. On top of all that got an aging population, a growing welfare bill, a call for higher spending on defence, housing inequality, higher borrowing costs, and probably a load more sh*t on the way due to the Iran war (although so far it hasn't been that bad?)
    • A couple of OR's crew and band have posted Barcelona pics.   HYYPPPEEEEE
    • That's what I was thinking, but with GC ticket sales looking good atm, I cant imagine download would pull off a blink, avril, GC top 3... when has this forum ever pulled off a prediction like that anyway, it won't happen will it 😂
