Manics - Headlining in 99

Foo Fighters - 2011

Weezer - 2011

Slash - 2011

Pixies - 2004

RATM - 2008

Madness - 2010

QOTSA - King Tuts - 2007

Mark Lanegan and Soulsavers - Pet Sounds - 2007

The Stranglers - King Tuts - 2008

Arcade Fire - 2007

The Who - 2006

The Manics - 2009

Green Day - 2005

There are loads more but I'd need to check the lineups to remind myself who played which year.

I have reasons behind most of them:

David Guetta - I'd seen Stone Roses and Calvin Harris before but hadn't seen Guetta and it was who my mates wanted to see.

Parade - Jessie J pulled out so all of the King Tuts timings were messed up, we thought someone else was going to be on.

The Script (2011) - We were waiting in the circle for Beyonce.

The Script (2009) - We were waiting in the circle for Bloc Party/Elbow/Snow Patrol/Blur

Coldplay (2011) - I wanted to see Primal Scream but we were already in the enclosure for Beyonce and we couldn't be bothered moving.

Will Young - We wanted a good spot for Lightspeed Champion.

I know, I saw the Screamadelica Tour at the SECC earlier in the year and it was epic. That was another reason I wasn't too fussed about seeing them. And I ended up seeing them again at the Barras in December of 2011 doing the same show.

Say what you want but that Beyonce performance was worth it.

Weezer were superb. During one song, Rivers took his mic into the crowd in the pit and ended up right at the back as the song finished. He shouted back at the band on the stage which song was next and realised it needed him playing guitar - at which point he had to sprint back through the crowd!

Weezer will be back one day I reckon, one of those bands that have a broad appeal

To add to what is a frankly insane gig month in November, anyone going to try get tickets for The Reflektors at the Barrowlands?
