I'm not sure "jumped the shark" would be the right term to describe it. The rest of your post is fair comment I reckon, although I was, and still am, a massive fan of the album.

Primal Scream will be on the lineup for certain. No idea where, and I have no desire to see them, but they'll be there. If PEACE play it'll be on a bigger stage.

I think that's a good attempt though. I'd be more than happy to see most of the acts you've thrown on there. Possibly with the exception of MGMT, The Vaccines and Deadmau5.

I think I'd be willing to give Deadmau5 a chance if there was nothing else on. MGMT and The Vaccines really aren't for me though.

Here's a wee suggestion. What's the chances of The Waterboys? I'd absolutely love that, preferably with lots of stuff from "Fisherman's Blues" getting played.

Who are you to decide who's "easily pleased"? That's arrogant at best and offensive at worst.

The one thing they need to sort out is repeat acts. There were many bands this year in a not much better position than last year. There was even a couple in almost the exact same slot. That's my one problem with it.

Actually despite there being a real kick to the lineup this year, it was one of my favourite T's i've been to, probably due to the weather but proves you can have a great weekend without an unbelievable lineup

Yeah to an extent Gingo, I want my moneys worth though and so does the majority of people, I can have a good weekend camping with mates in the sunshine listening to tunes instead of wasting 200 in odd bucks for repeat and shit acts :)

Just hoping next year will bring T back from the brink but I wont hold my breath :)

This has actually got me thinking. What would people's top 10 T performances? I've been to three ( 2003, 2012 and this year ).

1. The Flaming Lips - 2003

2. Travis - 2013

3. The Enemy - 2012

4. Rudimental - 2013

5. The Killers - 2013

6. Supergrass - 2003

7. Florence and the Machine - 2012

8. Coldplay - 2003

9. McFly - 2012 ( aye )

10. Of Monsters and Men - 2013

Some real class sets missing out. I've really enjoyed Olly Murs, Enter Shikari, Kasabian, Phoenix, Deacon Blue, Frank Ocean and Feeder over the times I've been as well. Even had a good time watching The Wanted!

Probably easier for me to do sets that sit well in the memory

2003 - The Coral/Feeder/Supergrass back to back

2004 - First full year, bit of a cracker too, Muse on NME a week or two after their Glasto headline spot, Pixies, Ash, Faithless, Franz Ferdinand, a Pete Docherty free Libertines and Zutons.

2005 - Audioslave, Drunkenly phoning my mum during Beautiful south, Travis, Doves, Bloc Party

2006 - The Who, The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys back to back, Wolfmother,

2007 - First friday open being soaking, getting jager of Lily Allen, Kasabian killing it, The Killers, Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon

2008 - Rage Against The Machine, The Chemical Brothers, The Music, Pendulum, Eddie Grant

2009 - Blur, The Specials, Seasick Steve, Lady Gaga (it was a weird car crash quality) Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Cave, NIN, Regina Spektor, Pete Docherty, Jamie T

2010 - Eminem, The Black Keys, Faithless, Jay-Z, Laura Marling

2011 - Foo Fighters, Tom Jones, Slash, Blondie, Weezer, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, Fun Lovin Criminals, House of Pain, Miles Kane, Naked and Famous

2012 - Noel Gallagher, Django Django

    • Has Grace Jones been discussed for this slot and if not, why not?
    • I suppose but when you look at the upcoming timeline: 13 dates in 2026 - I'm working on the assumption most of that will be a slightly revised setlist to get back into the groove, with maybe a new single thrown in; at least for some of them. Album five drops, tbc when exactly. UK/EU tour - Spring 2027 Biggest ever dates, UK stadium/s - Summer 2027   That doesn't say 2028 to me, it says 2027.   Then I guess to pay devils advocate - you'd imagine they'll continue for the rest of 2027 - probably U.S circa September/October (I say that part with hope, cause I'll go to a few).   At that point - they could even continue it, if the had eyes on anything like Asia/Australia, and all of a sudden Glastonbury 2028 isn't that far away, in the grand scheme of things.   All that to say - I don't know, tbh.
    • I think it'll tip over for sure, £410. Still incredible value for money, I paid 300 odd quid per ticket for Latitude this year (we go there with the little ones) which makes glasto the bargain of the century.
    • I think I caught some of PISS and SLAG at the Ritual Union festival earlier this year. Won't bother seeking them out again, there will be far better bands to discover.
    • @mufcok any chance the Fontaines ask could be for 2028?
