Matt Bellamy has said Muse might do 1 or 2 festivals next year. Do we think T might be a possibility given that they missed Scotland on their stadium tour? Wouldn't be too fussed if it was still doing their 2nd Law tour but there's been talk of a 20th anniversary tour playing a lot more older stuff which would be great.

They have release two truly awful albums in a row and really need to release a strong album to get back to headliner status. They were very disappointing the last time they headlined T and didn't have much in the way of special effects on stage either to save them.

Utter nonsense, whether they deserve to be or not Muse are a bona fide headline status band and if they play they'll headline. The idea of Muse playing a UK festival next year and not headlining it is absurd.

It seems that Coachella internet nerds are just as irrational as T or R&L internet nerds. Muse and The Killers are headline bands in the US as well.

I've read some funny things on T on this over the years but Muse no longer being considered a headline act is certainly up there, they're probably now one of those acts that are always going to be a headliner.

I quite liked The 2nd Law, certainly better than The Resistance, If they did an actual greatest hits set then I'd welcome it

RE: The Prodigy, I think they are a safe 2nd stage headliner for T, they can usually rely on them and The Chemical Bros when they are about, dont really see either taken main headline spots tbh

True, when you said Muse "really need to release a strong album to get back to headliner status" it could have been taken a number of ways.

I think some people have my point about Muse wrong. Sure they could still headline but without releasing a decent record approaching a decade. The same goes for Kings of Leon, who are set to have another number one album.

I was a big fan of both these bands. I was in HMV yesterday lunchtime and the new KOL album was playing and god did it sound crap.

I'd much rather see an in-form band rather than one going through the motions.

I guess kol might work out okay if they get a lot of interest from the album and relaunch themselves a bit. Slightly wondering about them, they arr going to tour next year and it won't be an exclusive uk like v was I doubt although it'd be the best way.

The 2nd Law actually did pretty well, and isn't nearly as disliked as you'd believe if you read this, and probably helped them to retain their stature.

This "they're only big because of their past stuff" stuff is quite frankly utter shite.
