That's cos the music industry seems convinced that any female singer who gets slightly popular needs to be "sexed up" and have their actually pretty good voice put through autotune all set to shit music of a "superstar producer".

Has anybody mentioned The Eagles? They're in Britain & Ireland in May/June 2014, have gigs at all the way through June with their last being Thursday 26th June? Just enough time for a 2 day rest before headlining the Sunday night Pyramid slot possibly? They fit in to the "never headlined before" category and are certainly big enough!

It's really hard to judge Elbow's size right now because they haven't done anything and they're not being marketed much just now. Their ticket sales aren't great for The Hydro in Glasgow, but the aforementioned problem could be a hinderence.

Elbow need a bloody good new album as well. They cant rely on wheeling out the same old tracks from Seldom Seen Kind again, which they have been doing since 2008 and after the disappointment of Build a Rocket boys.

If the album is not up to the heights of Seldom Seen Kid and Leaders of the Free World, then its going to be a bit of a damp squib in my opinion.
