I honestly, genuinely, don't think i know a single Depeche Mode song, and I've been told by many people that I'm a bit of a music boff... I don't get how Depeche Mode are big enough to even be considered tbh.

The issue there is definitely you.

Nowadays they're a long-time-ago band, but 20 years ago they were the biggest band in the world.

Rather strangely tho they weren't that big in the UK at that time, but they're still plenty well known here thru a number of big hit singles over a period of around 10 years.

"All I ever wanted" that well known Depeche Mode song......

A few of my friends are massive DM fans and they're not even sure if they should headline, I'd probably see them if they did, they've got the back catalogue to pull it off

    • I thought some time back that I could see Get Down Services getting a slot in Woodsies
    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
    • Loads of people have to listen to music they don't like all day, while at work!   Not much different.
    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
