Worthy View Roll Call

I keep getting e-mails from Worthy View saying "please use the directions we sent you earlier and follow the signs"

They never sent me any directions??

I'm sure I will find it but would like to avoid the traffic that will be heading for the main car parks.

I was hoping they would provide a post code for the trusty sat nav but I guess not.

Found the basic directions. To save anyone trawling back through the thread...

If you are approaching the site from the North or West please follow signs to Glastonbury town and then the A361 East towards Shepton. You will pick up signs to the Worthy View car park about a mile outside Glastonbury town heading East to the campsite car park. If you are approaching from the South and East use the A303 from further afield and then you will need to follow the A37 North. You will pick up signs for the Worthy View Car Park just before the Hill at Wraxall. Follow the signs to the car park using the one way system.

Prob isn't a postcode for the field, maybe a grid reference or latitude and longitude for Sat navs, it'll be well sign posted I am sure!

If you really want a post code then google "pennard hill farm" the postcode on their site is probably the closest location. However as previously stated, your sat nav will not take into account specific directions and road closures that are in place for the festival

Anyone know if WV has its own lockup? I'm conscious that it's outside the superfence and has a reputation for being full of rich people (not true!), so could be a bit of a target.

Also, I seem to remember hearing that whichever company was up there in '10 or '11 had their site picked over by a group of tea-leafs.

can't see that this has been asked... but all this business about check in to worthy view being open till 10.30pm. what the hell happens if you get stuck in traffic queues and rock up after 10.30pm? they have no idea what traffic will be like. surely they can't make you sleep in the car?

We expect to arrive via M5 by 2-3am. I guess we'll just have to wait till dawn. Brilliant that Tipi will be pitched - more time to go for a wander...

I was up there in 2011 and I have to say that I am taken aback by the size of Worthy View. Good luck to everyone trying to find their scout tents or 2 man tents.

It looks massive even compared with 2011. 2010 was tiny by comparison.

On the plus side, based on the latest panorama it looks like the new snaking-path cuts into the corner of the tent-field; so no more the monster steep hill.

I've got a set of solar power fairy lights to attach to the outside of mine. Hopefully now that I've put that out there everybody else doesn't do the same ..............

Depended what time you went really, I never queued for more than 20 minutes.
