When I stayed in Tangerine Fields in 2011 the site was pretty empty until Friday.

if we hit traffic tuesday night and don't manage to get to the site until 23.00 do you think we'd still manage to get through the gates as we are leaving manchester at 6 in the evening.

@toshj only local taxis are allowed up AFAIK unless you have a car park pass. That's how it was for the old myhab site anyway

Been trying to find a definite answer to this as there seems a bit of conflicting information - or I'm interpreting it completely incorrectly! Will be getting a taxi up south from Yeovil, aiming to get to WV at 5.30-ish on Tuesday. Will the taxi by allowed up to the gate/car park to drop me off?

We are getting dropped off by a friend on the Tues night and managed to get an email response a few weeks ago to confirm that our lift can drop us at the Worthy View car park gate so I assume the taxi will be able to do the same thing.

Check-in closes at 10.30 according to what they sent out. I doubt they'll shut up shop while there is a big queue of people waiting to get in but if that queue is gone by the time you arrive you'll probably be out of luck

or does she need to go and line up with everyone else at gate D for example?

Shouldn't be any problems with trolleys. Just say Michael Eavis had it on the website that it was allowed and there was no mention of seperate rules for Worthy View if you have a problem. Plenty people will be in similar situations and back you up of there is any problem (shouldn't be).

What was the word on getting a taxi to drop you directly at Worthy View? Hadn't planned on getting one before but a friend forgot to book his coach and there is none left now so looks like we'll have to do this. If we could skip the shuttle bus shuffle from bath and west and then to Worthy View it would save us lots of time (and space for others on those buses!)

Excellent thanks. If anyone is making the trip on the Tuesday can they make a note of the route and post it up? The directions are vague at best and seem to be relying on the signposts telling people where the turn off is going to be. Any taxi we've got before has always gone down some really odd back routes and will probably not be too happy if we tell him he's to go down the A361 and look for a signpost.

I have just finished packing up my gear and realise I have a lot more than I thought. Are we going to be ok doing a few trips from the car, bringing stuff in each time?

I'm hoping we are free to go to the car and back as we please.
