As lots seem fairly underwhelmed with the announcement thought it would be worth highlighting some of the good music that others may not have discovered yet.

At a quick glance Time & Space Machine should be good - if you like live dancey psychedelia..,

The wee things that have caught my eye and made me very happy:

Digs & Whoosh on Thurs in Block 9:

They were the DiY sound system and are a _huge_ part of dance music history.

Taiko meantime every day in the Astrolabe:

Japanese drumming is pretty much Kodo's domain but this lot are ok ;)

Pretty much the entirety of the Beats Hotel line up is ace but Beats International DJ set? Ooooohhhhhh.

And DJ Yoda and the Transiberian Marching Band - one of my fave DJ's undoubtedly causing yet more brain breaking in Hell on Friday....

God bless the complete nutters. (Can't get the last vid to embed sorry)

John Fairhurst, Friday at the Bimble Inn. He's a Mancunian guitarist who plays a hypnotic blend of bluegrass and raga.

Professor Elemental, Saturday at the Sensation Seekers.

When I say Earl Grey you say yes please:

I hope to be able to see him, but it looks like he may be clashing with The Rolling Stones.

i honestly can't remember if they were in the first announcement (or if people would consider them a 'lesser known' act) but Mount Kimbie playing twice on the Friday - early on the Sonic stage and then late on William's Green. amazing minimal / trippy / 'post-dubstep' (Wikipedia's words, not mine) act that put on a fantastic live show

i promised myself i wouldn't take too many drugs too early on at Glastonbury as it has messed me up in previous years but... for this, i think i may have to make the exception

    • It was always going to be the cost. stuff like this:
    • Man/Woman/Chainsaw anyone? Still 4-5 secret sets to be filled.   New album out today and Rough Trade friendly.
    • can't edit, but just to add to the above:   i get that the last bit is meant to reinforce the message that they are all horrible people and closing ranks to cover up what has happened and carry on with their lives while poor Celeste is left alone with her trauma...   i get it thematically, i just really hated the way it was on screen and i say that my ending would have made for a better movie.   🙂
    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
