The inescapable Damon Albarn

So it's news to nobody that Damon Albarn loves to make an appearance at Glastonbury, and is already gracing us with his presence with Bobby Womack. Well I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a solo appearance (whether it be advertised or secret) as well, as he's now confirmed he's finished recording a solo album and will be touring in support of it (playing a mix of solo, Blur and Gorillaz songs). Although it was inevitable he was gonna appear elsewhere at the festival, it's probably now safe to say that it'll be as a solo performer

The title of this thread - the "inescapable" Damon Albarn - suggests contempt for his prolificness. I'm glad that most who've contributed so far shares my views. The more Damon the better.

Also, he's only "inescapable" if you make a point of watching the projects in which he's involved. It's quite easy to go an entire festival without seeing him - like I did in 2007, 2010 and 2011!

Some acts love Glastonbury and get slated for it (Damon, Thom) .. And others openly hate it (Robbie Williams/Liam Gallagher) and get slated. There's no win!!

I like the fact that he likes the festival and he's pretty much a musical legend in his own right so I see no problem with him playing every day at every Glastonbury forever if he wishes. I'd be there more often than not.

I like him, I like the fact he constantly tries new things, he's open to new projects and is clearly passionate about loads of things. It'll be great if he's there.
