If there was a scarlet mist type solution where people who couldn't attend Glastonbury could pass their tickets on at face value (plus booking & postage etc) then I'm sure no one on here or to do with the festival would be opposed to it.

Problem is that anything other than the current solution would be abused by touts or scumbags like viagogo who just want to make a quick buck.

I think the system Glastonbury have in place at the moment is fair. If you really want to go to Glastonbury, you would know that you need to register your ticket in advance and when the ticket date/balance day is. It's just the luck of the draw on ticket day, and I've seen a lot of people moan about the system but it's either that or get your ticket for inflated prices from touts (Viagogo/ebay)

The Glastonbury resale was the final opportunity for fans to book their place at the Worthy Farm festival, but those hoping to purchase tickets for this year’s event had to be registered even though registration for Glastonbury 2013 had already closed, meaning only those who had registered with the site in previous years could book tickets.

Viagogo discussing whether a ticket sale is 'fair for fans' is possibly the biggest joke I've ever heard in my life.

They buy hundreds, even thousands of tickets for big concerts in their offices, before selling them on at very high, over-inflated prices. How is that more fair than Glastonbury's system?

Half of the facts are wrong in the article too, brilliant.

What's flawed is companies like theirs being allowed to sell at such inflated prices! The comment about registration is just ludicrous.Anyone wanting a Glastonbury ticket knows well in advance that they have to register and if they just try to buy on the spur of the moment then they're not in a position to moan . The public need to stop buying from these greedy b******ds - the artistes don't profit by them! There's a lot of dubious press about this company such as staff members using company credit cards to purchase tickets and sell on! I always pay the insurance, an extra fiver for peace of mind is worth it.
