joeruss
My favourite from last year was thwaites wainwright - lovely golden ale even a few days in. 2 x4 packs for £8 at tesco at the moment. x 2 Lovely tipple & tastes fine out of the can
neilloggie
This year i have opted for Badger 'Fursty ferret' and 'Tangle Foot', they were on offer in Tesco 8 cans for £
Popsider75
Golden Hen is my choice for this year. Decent drop for a canned ale.
Big_Egg
To me the quality of most of the regular ales in cans (tanglefoot etc) is not worth the heavier price tag they carry than mass produced lager. I've had some great canned stuff (Flying Dog, BrewDog, Andersons, Six Point) but they carry with them a fair premium. Your best bet is online shops for that (real ale company, beers of europe etc)
Alf Tupper
Tesco do a 5L Keg of Gem for £15, Gem is as close to liquid gold on the ale front as you can get IMO.

That is a fantastic beer. First came across it a few years ago at Galstonbury where it seemed to be in most bars but sadly no more. No tins, only the bottle or keg

jamesrfisher
Same as last year for us, tray of London Pride and tray of Rev James for myself and my wife. Not sure what the baby will want yet, probably a tray of Gold Top
neilloggie
Might have to have a trip out to a tesco this week I noticed this afternoon that it was the same price in Sainsburys, in Scarborough that is, so hopefully it will be nationwide? Gazsimmo1980
Just going to throw this out there for anyone from the barnsley area.. The Acorn brewery will drop any of their ales into 10 ltd bags in a box with a tap on. I bought their old moor porter in this shape on Christmas Eve and it was well tasty. The porter is more wintery but they do the same for the pale/golden ales as well. Ideal for the ale drinking festival goer.

majormajormajor
very pricey but you can get Brewdog's Glorious Punk IPA in cans now. will set you back at least £2 per small can tho! it is heavenly tho. Might have to get some pride in! ugh, i am a real IPA guy - but drinking it warm isn't appealing. especially hungover. goes down like a lizard backwards. Brave Sir Robin
Was thinking of bringing some of the more citrussy pale ales, maybe Brewdog's Dead Pony for its session strength. Anyone any comments / thoughts?

JoeyT
I've been drinking a fair bit of young's ale recently (still new to ale) Favourite so far is "special" I think that's what it's called anyway. Do they do cans?
Brave Sir Robin
Beaverton's "Bloody 'Ell" is special. All the Beavertown range is great (and comes in cans). Apart from the session strength 'Neck Oil', which is frustratingly average.
