kaisherz
Jake Bugg was just on Radio 1, said he was 'first on' and 'opening'... So I'm assuming he's the opener on the Friday?

5co77ie
I thought the Malian acts were opening the pyramid stage each day? Maybe something has changed then.
sisco
I think they are now opening all different stages across the festival each day not just the Pyramid
Brave Sir Robin
Playing the Park on the Sunday, Pictish Trail: "svelt, intelligent, adorable balladeer. Trapped inside the body of an oversized, oft-bearded folk ogre."
shoogie woogie
Also announced in the Quietus interview with Pictish Trail is his fence label mate 'Rozi Plain'. No word of day or stage though.

FloorFiller
so is it just Rokia Traore opening the Pyramid on the Saturday and others will be opening other stages, or is it Rokia Traore opening the Pyramid on the Saturday, two other Malian artists opening the Pyramid on the other two days, and ALSO other Malian artists opening up some of the other stages? hope it's the former as that opens up numerous possibilities for new additions on the Pyramid Edited May 14, 2013 by FloorFiller
Stu H
I think Jake Bugg would be a great wee start to Pyramid shenanigans on the Friday! He'd get a big crowd I think!
Tuna
hope malian acts are all about thus making room for a tribe called quest :-)
FloorFiller
surely Jake Bugg can't be opening Pyramid seeing as he's on the same day as Haim and Laura Mvula, who are unarguably smaller than him - unless he's actually opening the Acoustic Stage that day (haven't heard the interview so not sure how it was worded)

sisco
He did say he is first on, that came from him this morning but whether it not that meant the acoustic he didn't say, I think he may be opening up the pyramid though the way it sounded
Ratpat
I'm sure it says somewhere else (maybe even the Glasto website) that he is playing the acoustic in the afternoon. This could also be why he is opening
FloorFiller
hmm interesting. tbh the moment i saw Haim on the Pyramid lineup i thought 'first band on' as they just seem to fit that criteria so perfectly in my eyes. will be surprised if Bugg in opening the Pyramid as he seems like quite a huge act now and would surely be wasted so early
sisco
It says "Jake Bugg is doing a solo spot for us" on the Acoustic- Field page on the Glasto-website!
Kurosagi
65 days of static say they're playing Williams Green Stage on the 28th according to their website. They were listed as a 'strong rumour' on the efests lineup but seem to have dropped off. Heartily recommend them, they're an intense mix of post rock and techno beats. Would have been a perfect band for the old Glade stage.
Matt42
Does that mean now that two mali acts aren't being added to the pyramid we've got at least 4 more acts to be added to the pyramid. Meaning that it hightens the chances of ZZ TOP, Jurrasic 5, My bloody valentine, FRANK OCEAN
