random_man
Am I the only one thinking that Radiohead might have played there enough in recent times then?
thewayiam
I agree too! I like Radiohead and like I said in an earlier post I would prefer them to some of the other names doing the rounds but someone a bit different would be nice. mike46
Not Radiohead. Been there, done that the last two years. If the Stones have backed out I'll accept nothing less than Bowie...

Admin eFestivals Posted January 15, 2013 Admin Share Posted January 15, 2013 Now. Would this be the bump up for Mumford and Sons? I was going to post this but it's more likely I reckon than anything else. You'd even say that it might be that they were sub to them or planned but that's just said in jest no bump for the Mumfarts. Oh, gazza got it wrong again. Eavis'll just sign them up when he see's him this year and they'll headline next year most likely. Would not be surprised at all to see them as a R on here after glasto. That said, efests will purposely not do this now lolJust keep up the extremely poor guesses gazza.
russycarps
Leeds 09 and Bilbao 2012, when I gave them a second shot with an open mind, gd musicians but way to drab need something a bit more uplifting that gets people going, not just swaying from side to side in some sort of melancholy mind warp effect. Just not for me at the end of the day...

russycarps
I was there and found it boring, I think we stuck it out for about an hour but we just couldn't take it any more. I wouldn't class myself as a Radiohead fan but I loved OK Computer and I was looking forward to seeig them too. It just didn't click with me at all and I just didn't enjoy it. I much preferred REM the night before too
wilko8
Radiohead demand the utmost respect. No band have done such a spectacular job of pulling the wool over peoples eyes so consistently for such a long period of time. They haven't written a decent song for 16 (sixteen) years, churn out the same bland tuneless nonsense year after year and yet are held in a regard that is akin to god like status. I can only assume that people just think that they themselves are missing the point, but they can't be missing the point, because everyone loves Radiohead, so they don't admit to it in order to save face and avoid the barrage of...you weren't there in '97 maaaan etc etc. Admit it people. Radiohead are rubbish and haven't produced anything worth listening to since OK Computer. Get it off your chest, it's cathartic!

russycarps
That Flaming Lips gig is in my top 5 of all time. Totally amazing, I can't say I knew anything about them before other than their live shows were supposed to be good but I love them now. Seen then once more since then and one of my biggest regrets was choosing Gorillaz over the Lips last time they played. I knew it was a bad call but I got talked into it by my wife.
