Given it a couple of listens this morning. It really is quite a special piece of work. There's so many different Bowie eras coming together.

its quite remarkable really. My brain can't quite take it all in. So much to explore in this album.

Bowie puts 90% of modern bands to shame in one fell swoop

You can get around 30 minutes of the 2000 set on youtube. I've found 4 parts so far.

It was, by a long way, the best thing I have ever seen in 29 years of gonig to Glastonbury. But then again I saw Ziggy live so he's been with me all of my music-loving life so the combination of Bowie and Glastonbury cant be beaten!

The new album really is remarkable, especially when you consider this man is 66 years old. I mean Look at acts like the Stones & the Who, in their old age they desperately attempt to cling at their youth and what ever it was that made them great in the first place. Where as Bowie, on this album embraces his age & the issues he has with it which allows him to reminisce over his great career & still produce an album that sounds both fresh & classic Bowie at the same time. Just brilliant.

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
