If we got Bowie a la Glasto 2000 I'd be really made up.

If we got Bowie a la Phoenix 1996, urghhh.

Guess problem is that if we got Bowie the new album would feature heavily rather than the hit laden set we had in 2000

I've liked the new album when listening on stream last week, so if it's a set full of new stuff that would get him to Glastonbury, with a few hits scasttered around them, then I'd take that every day of the week.

Better than no Bowie.

I don't care what set he might play, it would be quality*. Would love to see him play a sizable part of The Next Day, its current and its really good!

(not sure his vocal range is still there for a lot of his vintage hits anyway)

*must have reality check: he's not going to play

David Bowie's wife drops strong hint that the veteran singer may tour again

what that doesn't say is the question she was specifically asked. Her words might have been given in a purely hypothetical sense.

I've decided I'm going to put my faith in no concrete proof, laugh in the face of other more reasonable rumors and decide that it just has to be Bowie on Sunday.

He kept every part of the new album secret, not a bloody whisper anywhere, nothing. Then bang, here you go.

I know Glastonbury have apparently asked and apparently been told no. In my desperate world I can easily create the same scenario for a live gig at Glastonbury.

Secret set warm up in Bristol the night before just to loosen up then "Hello Glastonbury"...

Nobodies going to stop a man from having a dream are they?

But. but, say they are still struggling for the Sunday night, dave's decided that actually he could tour and Ol' Eavis has put another call in...

"David? It's Michael.

Eavis.

Michael Eavis. Yeah from Glastonbury, that's the one. Look I've just been reading NME..."

They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
