If indeed he is coming out of live retirement, which to me is a totally different thing altogether, I could see him doing something a bit more low key before any massive outdoor dates anyway. Least we forget this man hasn't been touring for a decade. Perhaps a run at the Albert Hall or something? Followed by a show in Hyde Park & then somewhere in New York. I can't see him doing Glastonbury if I'm honest.

How good would it be for the Stones to announce that they won't be doing Glasto only for the Eavii to follow up with an announcement that it didn't matter as they've got Bowie instead!

I know it's still very unlikely (probably <5% chance) but still, I can dream...

Moving away from Glastonbury for a minute how typical of Bowie is todays news

I find it amazing in this age of social media not even a rumour of new material had surfaced. He's put together a full album - you'd think at least one or two leaks would have emerged. He really is a master of mystery, always keeps everyone guessing and does things on his own terms

I'd definately prefer Bowie over the Stones but to be honest im happy with most the names banded around at the moment.

3 from Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Lady Gaga, David Bowie and Fleetwood Mac would guarentee atleast one headliner I'd want to see and even possibly 3

Arcade Fire don't need anybody at this point in time to prove themselves as credible headliners. They've headlined R&L & Hyde Park, they're already there.

Bowie, if he ever returns to a live stage, will do it on his own terms. If that means he wanted to share the billing with Arcade Fire, then so be it. But myself, I don't see any point to it, at all. If you wanna have them both headline different days & do a couple of songs together, great. But not co-headliners.

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
