same. i just bought one of those wu tang tickets and it's just like a lucky fucking dip to be honest, and when only half of them turn up it really turns the show into a sham.

i agree it becomes like hip hop karaeoke. See them in Hammersmith once and that was as near to the full line up as the Uk has got i think. After Bestival i wouldnt bother again. Problem is you dont know until you're there.

Saw Roots in '98 at the Jazz World stage as a 13 year old waiting for Roni Size, was incredible!

Managed to see them at Bestival in 2013 too and they were on form again there, great live act

They subbed Ian Brown at V one year and stormed it. Stole the show!

I reckon at least 5 of them have a good chance. I'd take that.

nice. hoping for all of them also. really hope there's some decent hip hop this year - it's usually the part that excites me most

Death Grips wouldn't ever do Glasto surely? I'd be over the moon with the booking but it just doesn't seem like their type of festival

Plus I doubt G would risk booking them after all the shenanigans when they just sent a drum kit and a CD to the shows and festivals they were performing at, claiming "that" was Death Grips live

I can't see why they wouldn't if they were touring and available, could imagine them playing the Park or in the Dance Village or whatever it's called, the whole no show thing was ridiculous though wasn't it - I would have been stupidly pissed off if I had gone to see them.

I did see them at The Forum a couple of years back (?) and despite the sound mix being a bit off the live show was amazing, disorientatingly amazing.

Busta Ryhmes may be possible with his comments about returning to the uk this year after the confusing bestival booking in 2014. I'd be happy to see Kid Cudi make an appearance. The dream is to have a tribe called quest headline west holts after q-tip's incredible solo headline show.

They're neither touring nor available since they split up!

Nas or Wu Tang would be fantastic but I do reckon they'd be kind of soon and it would eliminate the point in booking acts like that if they're gonna be back at every opportunity. Wouldn't be complaining though.

yeah i do agree. the best part about the few hip-hop acts Glastonbury books is the surprise of them finally being booked - wouldn't want Nas and Wu Tang to become like any old indie band that appears every other year (although it would be much better)

Yep, it really is. Hope the Roots are playing. For Kalifire more than anything :)

Thanks!! I've just caught up with this news and now my excitement levels are at fever pitch. The Roots. Can you imagine it.

With the prospect of Nas performing Illmatic (which I've already seen and it's superb) and Kendrick Lamar, this could be phenomenal. Let's hope they don't do what they did last year and pitch the few hip hop acts they book against each other (I'm still reeling from the De La Soul / Deltron 3030 / Kelis clash)
