Bronson, Doomtree and Ghostface would all be killer bookings.

Doomtree wasn't an act I was expecting, though. Have they released new material? I thought their last albums was some time ago. Hang on, I can answer that.... oh shit! Yes, just the other month! Well, that's getting listened to shortly. I loved this one:

anybody thus far who could take the Friday Pyramid hip-hop slot? (sorry if this has been covered already). not seeing anybody myself which is odd as there's usually one name that sticks out, or are they just gonna forego it this year due to the Pyramid hip-hop quota being filled by Kanye?

Yeah, I was thinking that. Hopefully there will be one like Wu Tang Clan/Public Enemy coming!

Yeah I reckon they might unless it's Azealia Banks like six down or something.

Hoping for little simz somewhere on the line-up.

She's fucking great. It's a shame there's not much british hip-hop on the line-up atm, not cause I'm a "british line-ups for british people" type of bore, but the whole grime scene and underground british hip hop is just fucking great at the moment

Wouldn't classify young fathers as representative of the british hip hop/grime scenes that are doing really well at the moment.

I'm more talking about the fact that it'd be sick to see acts like novelist, stormzy, any of bbk, little simz, giggs, jay prince, loyle carner, jesse james solomon get decent slots.

I'm hoping for Stormzy. Also Krept & Konan are TBC on here I think.

The Roots have announced a show at O2 Academy Brixton on the 10th July. They're in Amsterdam on the 8th. One can hope.

Sadly they've got a gig in Los Angeles on the Saturday. They're in the UK before that for Parklife so it's possible they could do the Friday but very unlikely. A huge shame. They're one of my Glastonbury dream acts.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
