i love TNGHT. would also love an appearance from Captain Murphy (aka the rapper alter ago of Flying Lotus, who can also be there)

more hip hop is definitely needed at Glastonbury. Kendrick Lamar, Big Boi, Schoolboy Q, Jay Z + Kanye, Joey Bada$$, any of Odd Future (probably unlikely... maybe Earl)

Higher Ground by TNGHT is so good, would love to witness it live.

Flying Lotus played it when he played at the Red Bull Music Academy takeover of the Warehouse project a few weeks ago, it went fucking mental when it dropped.

If I could have a tent booking solely hip-hop artists this is what I think it would have to be:

Nas

MF Doom

The Roots

E-40

Kendrick Lamar

Slick Rick

A$AP Rocky

El-P

Schoolboy Q

Danny Brown

Joey Bada$$ & Pro Era

Action Bronson

Yelawolf

Just been listening to Illmatic by Nas and thought I'd find this thread again. He's got a worldwide tour commencing shortly, coming to the UK twice in March, and it ends in early June. Could be possible.

Kendrick Lamar is top of my list these days. Would absolutely love it if he played.

yes to both

is either Nas or Kendrick Lamar are there then that would be absolutely fantastic (although yeah, Kendrick more right now as his album is just phenomenal)

Not that I am massively just into one music genre like Hip Hop. But is definitely one of the fresher more creative music genres at the moment!! So I totally agree we need more Hip Hop.

Glastonbury really needs to step away from relying on old tired indie bands.

This one is a bit out there, but I cam across Busta Rhymes on my ipod the other day and thought he would be fantastic for that Friday afternoon slot. I saw him live yearss ago and he is probably the most entertaining live hip hop act I've seen. Fantastic crowd engagement, good and varied back catalogue of songs and has one of the funniest 'hype mans' ever! (check out his and Spliff Starr's concert skits on youtbe).

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if it was £425.  If I recall there was a significant jump about 10 years ago and with the prices of gigs significantly inflating in the last couple of years I can see another big jump coming.
    • I think they are just sold out ..... I find it highly unlikely that the entire arena wouldn't go on sale for a band the size of muse straight away.   Theres also some in those blocks on sale on resale sites
    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.

    • Alright fair, I thought she only did BST once. Though I do question how that type of pop show will translate to a stadium.
