What do we all make of this "leak"? I'm skeptic, and I think Kate Nash is way too shit to play, also ain't keen on Django Django. Headliners are good but needs more Morrissey, probably wouldn't sit well with the Marr being there though, but I have tickets for one of his shows this year, and even if he is rumoured for every festival going this year he can't play all of them.

names i can make out from that poster are...

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Editors, Kraftwerk, Jake Bugg, Django Django, Kate Nash, I am Kloot, Johnny Marr, Crystal Fighters, Tame Impala, Bo Ningen, Bobby Conn, British Sea Power, Christopher Owens, Daughter, Delphic, Disclosure, Egyptian Hip Hop, Fidlar, Four Tet, Goat, Haim, Mac Demarco, The Moons, Patrick Wolf, Peace, Savages, Swim Deep, Veronica Falls, Villagers, Wet Nuns.

btw....at the meet and greet for forummers last year Melvin Benn (head honcho) was adamant that headliners would NOT be repeated any time soon.

Things change though I suppose......and the nature of Latitude means that the Pet Shop Boys could be involved in some other way............somebody re-doing their musical in the Theatre tent.........somebody dancing to their stuff on the lake.......Q&A...curating something.....live film soundtrack......anything...

...but I would be extremely surprised if they headline again.

Other things to come out of that meet and greet btw were that Morrissey is way too expensive and that Bjork is too much of a pain in the arse........but the festival has a new chief booker now so I guess all bets are off (in the latter regard anyway).

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
