I started off with the user name Hassibininyet. That was based on an entry I made to The Turnip Prize ( a spoof on The Turner Prize). Basically you were awarded points for having a crappy name so I came up with that. Then straight after that I joined here and without really thinking chose Hassibininyet again. It's supposed to read 'has he been in yet' if you hadn't already gathered. Sad I know but there you have it.

Then I realised you could change your user name so I asked for it to be changed to Yoghurt on a Stick. I'm afraid I can't recall what prompted me to come up with this even shittier name than the one before. It may be down to congenital idiocy though!

My name is Paul.

The ™ came from when I used to chat in the old MSN Chatrooms back in the early 2000's as the room I used had another Paul in it, so I decided to trademark it :)

I was a journalist for many years before setting up a company to develop specialist software for the news industry. So Hack seemed a good word to link journalism and computers. And I love watching the Grumpy Old Men (and Women) TV programmes.

I so often find myself in agreement with the Grumpys' views that I decided I must be a Grumpy Old Man too.

Long(ish) story.

About 30 years ago, silver marker pens were new and cool.

I wrote "David Bowie" on the lapel of my school blazer in said marker pen (always the trend setter).

A wise arse geography teacher then went "hello David" to me (to quote Rodney Trotter, Dave is not my name). This was funny from him and I got the point.

However, slightly later, owing to that incident, a kid that everybody wanted to punch started trying to goad me by calling me Ziggy. That gave me the excuse to punch him. Fisticuffs and notoriety ensued.

About five years passed.

I got a job. People from my job were at a party with people I went to school with. The above was mentioned along the lines of "call him "Ziggy" it really winds him up".

There were too many to fight. And it was better than what they were calling me previously (which was "Accident", due to my clumsiness).

Then, again years later, much like Kat, I had an aquaintance who added the suffix "ster" to everyones moniker.

Then I liked the way Mister rhymes with Zigster. So I added the prefix.

Oh, and still the Bowie fan of course.

Sifi is the shortened version of my original id, sifimaster. My first name is Simon, my middle names are Filiberto Manuel hence Sifima. The ster on the end reflects not some kind of amicable suffix, but my love of science fiction - i miss Douglas Adams as much as bill hicks - but my undying love of the greatest of Whovian villains.

I shortened it because it was a little pretentious. And too long to type.

My avatar is a picture of the horse head nebula. I also like images of the universe. And Marlon Brando.
