It was more crammed for Strokes in 11(?) than it was for KoL 09 for me

At Leeds it was a nightmare trying to get out of the main stage area before KOL to go and watch FNM, partly due to them shutting one of the ways out off and them not stewarding it properly, and partly due to the fact that most people there were going to see KOL. I'd say the tent was only about half full for FNM.

It wasn't even half full at Reading. KOL had a huge crowd, I walked past after FNM as they were just finishing off and it nearly reached to the food stalls at the back of the main stage area.

However covering a large area doesn't necessarily mean it was particluarly packed or busy I guess. Apart from Yellow and his contacts who knows how crammed it was or how many ribs got broken.

I really hope you don't mean the band I think you mean.

My friend's sister's boyfriend is in a band called Native Braves. They're absolute arse, and a bunch of genuine c**ts. We went to see them at a fucking Sc**thorpe battle of the bands, they couldn't play their own songs and finished in the bottom three.

I bet they read this now and kill me.

Hahahaha, I know them all and totally agree.

Just got an email from v fest, first time I've seen this years line up. Excluding the comedy, there's only 75 acts on there.

Is that normal for V? Seems a right fucking rip off even if you like that sort of music.

Not sure if it's normal, but it is only a two day festival so probably about right.

With Alt-Fest looking to be cancelled, do people reckon R&L will nab any of the acts? I know it's not the same demographic at all but maybe they could get Manson like they got Mastodon after Soni cancelled

Hope not, Manson is shite. So so bad live.

I don't think there's a spot left high enough for MM to play unfortunately.

When you and I met that lady promoting Alt-Fest at Camden Crawl Raw, I got the distinct impression they had real struggles promoting the event which had led to poor sales so I'm not surprised that it might not go ahead now.

    • Cool, if potentially completely exhausting, idea.
    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.
