Honestly this is the only place I have ever encountered people from "the north" being derogatory about themselfs  normally its people not from the area making jokes like that!

Maybe i live in a part where the poeple have no humor or have self respect or somthing

Yeah when I went to London this year, we'd ask people for directions and they'd just shrug their shoulders and push past you. Worse in Birmingham they'd just pretend they didn't hear you. Liverpool is one of the most polite places I've experienced despite what any of you may think of it, as is Manchester and I imagine it's the same for places like Sheffield etc.

Liverpool is far and away the most polite place I've ever been.

As well as having programmes the people at the info tents will tell you a particular stage time if you ask. Or if you spot someone with a programme just ask, most people are willing to let you have a look.

Also I see Leeds haven't said they're not dishing out loo roll :P

At the info tents they will, but a lot of the staff and volunteers have it kept from them as well.

Still haven't discovered toilet roll in Rotherham so it is not a big loss for me

Also, the North is friendlier. Got on the tube for BST Hyde park and me and my brother were talking and we got weird looks from people as if it was an unspoken rule or something. I've been to Liverpool twice but I've never really been about much but my brother goes to Uni there and he says the people are great

Yeah I've heard good things about Newcastle as well. Suppose its a different kettle of fish when you're at the football though really. Its a shame we have a stigma in Liverpool still after all this time really. Oh well. I suppose everywhere has a stigma attached to it doesn't it

In other news and trying to bring it back to the festival according to the Leeds clashfinder... 17% are going to watch AM & same number for Blink but only 8.4% to QOTSA and even more worrying just 6.5% Paramore... they are less highlighted then Catfish and the Bottlemen and Blood Red Shoes to name but two...

JEW have slipped down to 4th place with 16% (overtaken by Disclosure, AM and Blink) and everyone's favorite Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are in 21st position with 9% going to see them.

Paramore fans know not to trust the clashfinder until the official times are out.

    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
    • I mean...I do think it all needs more regulation, but god knows how when it's all so global...but there's so much stuff on there that is messing with our little minds. But also, he has given these companies till September, and well...he'll surely be gone by then. I think social media ban for under 16s will likely happen, but I think regulating it for everyone is better. It's the not the kids we should be worried about, it's all those middle aged doom scrolling keyboard warriors like me.
    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
