2013 Lineup

I think its more to do with every one presumed it was going to be a main stage headliner, not nme stage headliner and a weak one at that.

Thats why I think they have missed a trick here, ticket sales are slower and they could of announced a big chunk of the lineup to entice folk from other festivals.

black sabbath played in the 80's, not sure if they headlined though

Yeah, I don't interpret that as him saying they're definitely going to be having a "step up" headliner

"You can certainly expect guitars. It's definitely all locked down. In fact I had hoped I would have announced one today but paperwork prevents that and I certainly hope that one of them will be announced before Christmas. There's people there who will have headline before, there's people there who definitely haven't headlined before so again, it's doing what Reading and Leeds does; it provides the absolute foundations where you know you've got this great show and it also provides that opportunity for bands to step up and become headliners in their own right and that's what 2013 will be offering".
