The only thing on the Prodigy vs Biffy front... is that Prodigy were an exclusive to Download... where as Biffy played a few places... they will prob be doing loads of fests next year like they did in 2009... where as Biffy if they are given the oppurtunity to headline will of course be more selective with their festivals... Plus they both have a new album coming out but Biffy seem to get bigger with every album where as Prodigy have pretty much stayed at a similar level since The Fat of the Land... I don't think we will have Prodigy subbing to Biffy... if anything Prodigy will play below someone else (although I dont think they will play)... Sorry that was a random thought process and maybe hard to read but hope it makes sense

pearl jam?

AC on the balls up with vodaphone...

I have to address the PEARL JAM issue which was very embarrassing for everyone. The fact that one of sponsors ‘leaked’ that they were playing makes it even worse! Anyway, what I will say is that PEARL JAM were one of the bands I was speaking to about playing Download, amongst many many others, but the Download dates don’t fit with their touring schedule for 2013, so they couldn’t do it. One of the things I have to do as part of the Download build up is speak with our sponsors about the bands I have booked and who I’m looking at and who I’m speaking too. There was a colossal breakdown of communication and it showed that the flaws within our announcement process but luckily not too much damage was caused. Lessons well and truly learned.

The Prodigy is an option and I think they would play instead of The Killers if they did. I think with a shows announcement on Tues, if it's a UK tour, you're looking at Feb/March time maybe? Enough time to sell out and play R&L, but even they, an arena tour the same year, they may only get a sub slot.

I wouldn't include Blur mate. Neil has heard they aren't bothered about UK fests very early, a little after a year in advance to be honest and R&L if they were going to have them I think, would have them snapped up and booked by now and I'd imagine if they wanted to do UK fests R&L would be top of the list as Damon's mentioned it before.
