2013 TICKETS ON SALE SUNDAY OCTOBER 7TH

MAKE SURE YOU'RE REGISTERED FOR THE 2013 TICKET SALE

Hello again. Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2013 will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, October 7th. As part of our continued commitment to cut out ticket touting, anyone who would like to attend next year's Festival must have registered in advance of tickets going on sale.

Registration remains free of charge. If you're not already registered, then click here to register (it only takes a few minutes). Remember, every person who would like aticket will need to register individually.

If you have registered to buy tickets to the Festival before, you may well still be registered (you now only need to do it once). But we very much advise that you check your registration now by clicking here. If you can't find it, the best bet is to re-register. You can also now edit the details of your existing registration (for example if you need to change your address) by clicking here.

OXFAM'S WEST AFRICA APPEAL

Oxfam is appealing for aid after low rainfall, poor harvests and high food prices are driving the Sahel region into a serious food crisis affecting 19 million people. As they enter the peak of the crisis, millions already need emergency support. GREENPEACE'S SAVE THE ARCTIC CAMPAIGN

The ice at the top of the world is melting. Scientists say that within 20 years the North Pole could be largely ice free over the summer months. Greenpeace is not going to stand by while the Arctic is destroyed. This summer, it's launching a massive international campaign to save the Arctic. DIG DEEP FOR MALAWI WITH WATERAID

This summer, WaterAid is asking the UK public to back an exciting new appeal, The Big Dig, to help communities in Malawi get the basic necessities of clean, safe water and sanitation. The funds raised will support WaterAid’s work in rural Malawi, where 20% of the population has no clean water, and 44% of people have nowhere safe to go to the toilet. Having lost a temp job at the end of May, I got offered a 6 month contract on Friday afternoon by another company. OK it's still not a permanent job but at least this time they won't get rid of me with 2 days notice!!

Guaranteed work up till mid-Jan at least!

Watched the original Star Wars on Bluray with my 6 year old son yesterday. He loves Star Wars and has all the light sabers and Darth Vader costumes, but had never actually seen any of the films! It took us two sitting to watch it to the end, but he loved it. Now got to wacth the other 5 films with him! He spent the rest of the day flying his lego space ship he made through the lounge blasting the baddies. Happy days!

Given my festival caravan a make over this morning to turn it into a 'burger van' to cook and serve burgers and hot dogs at a birthday party for my 10 year old great niece. Her 11 year old sister wants to take the orders and collect the money - everything priced at 10p - though the sisters are arguing as to whether the takings should go to the Birthday Girl as a top up present or to Big Sister for taking and serving the orders.

Covered the caravan with bunting that looks such fun that I think I'll keep it as decoration for future fests.

I've just cut my lawn after leaving it grow to about 2 foot high in places. Really hate lawn mowing but am never going to leave it grow that long again as it's murder to cut. Anyway, it's all done now so I'm a happy bunny. Also have managed to do 4 lots of clothes washing and drying, including stuff that got covered in mud at The Secret Garden Party. I didn't think I'd be this productive on my last day off work!

Cut about half my lawn today. Like Yog's it was horrendously overgrown because till now it's been too wet to cut. Now it feels too hot to do mowing. So I'll start the rest early in the day when it's cool.

Also had a friend in with a chainsaw to cut back a lot of the trees surrounding the garden and we've got great views back across the Bristol Channel to the Mendips.
