Cut about half my lawn today. Like Yog's it was horrendously overgrown because till now it's been too wet to cut. Now it feels too hot to do mowing. So I'll start the rest early in the day when it's cool.

Also had a friend in with a chainsaw to cut back a lot of the trees surrounding the garden and we've got great views back across the Bristol Channel to the Mendips.

Half way up a mountain in South Wales but with views across the Bristol Channel to the Mendips.

One of the joys of living half way up a mountain is the stunning view but it also means that my garden is on a 1 in 4 slope so lawn mowing is a killer.

Still got it all done today and sat outside having a meal tonight with Mrs GH and daughters under the (now retired) festival gazebo lit by my festival fairy lights.

Also finally got my car exhaust fixed today after it was knackered by the tow out from the IoW Fest.

My son playing in a band at his 3rd birthday party.

Ok, his guitar is missing the strings but that doesn't deter him.

I'd like to think going to Glasto at the ripe old age of 11 months inspired him but I suspect he can't remember it.

Got asked if I'm interested in changing to a diff role within my department, still in the same department but a slightly diff job - thing is it would be slightly less money as atm I work nights so get night time premium but this would be mostly during day and the hours are like 230pm-230am 4 days a week , so 3 days off is a plus - i just don't think the hours would suit me :|

when would i get to the gym!!

but good to be thought of made my day !

..and the excitement is clearly starting to build monsignor yoghurt :) Have a quality time.

@Guy, nice work old son. I'm hoping to get a few more years of not being able to say I'm a grandparent yet, we shall see. In 2009 I did the same sort of shuffle over to , say a quick shy hello and shuffle off again. Hoping in the future to be a little more forthcoming :)

Heh, quality. I don't know if it is possible to offend a hare krishna, but fair play to you for not wanting to. Pre-kick off excitement is part of the whole deal, I have tried and failed to sleep the night before going to glastonbury the last couple of years and am like a kid before xmas.

I've never done costume, considered it on several occasions but never had the cahoonas to go through with it.

whats made my day/week is after a year out, it's now only a few more weeks until we put the first £50 down for our ticket to glasto, and getting back on the forums to get all excited again and read about all the new people coming this time round and stories from last time, i've not thought truly thought about glasto until last week when i've had to make the massive decision whether i should go or not with having a child earlier this year, do i leave her or do i give up glasto now that i have a child, the decision was quite simple, glasto is my home, and when she is old enough she can come, it's only 5days away,
