Dewsbury is referenced in The Beatles' 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour. A line of dialogue in the film has one of the magicians (all portrayed by the Beatles themselves) - who are keeping an eye on the whereabouts of the bus that is taking its passengers on the journey of the film's title - exclaim: "The bus is ten miles north on the Dewsbury road and they're having a lovely time!" [10] Dewsbury is also referenced in the 1991 single "It's Grim Up North" by the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu (also known as The KLF).

I have run out of upvotes.

Unfortunately I never got a grasp of the French language, so can't appreciate the lyrics. However, I get the sense that it's an 'homage' (Old French).

I had no idea that she visited Dingle, until just seeing the link above. Wow, what must it have been like to see her perform in that little church!? 

I don't know why, but her 'early departure' saddens me - continually.

I know exactly how you feel. The moments when she does crop up, tug at the heart strings in a way no words could ever describe sufficiently.
