tommyds
How many albums do you think someone needs to have recorded to headline Glastonbury? I would have thought that, having only recorded 2 with a total runtime of less than 2 hours, Mumford aren't really ready, from a mathematical perspective. I think it ruins a set somewhat when you know a band is going to play literally every song, you want to be able to pick and choose. I saw The Strokes at V just after their 2nd album came out, before which they'd said of all their gigs "We don't do encores and we don't do covers", a policy which they had to reverse because their entire recorded output wasn't long enough to fill a headline slot. Personally, I'd like a Glasto headliner to have at least 4 hours of material to pick from (although I appreciate they can't all be Springsteen)

tommyds
There's not much point in having all that material to choose from if you're as bad at picking a setlist as Bruce.

jimmyt
He does seem to have an unnatural attachment to some of his more recent songs (particularly from The Rising album) but he still packs in the hits
tommyds
Apart from when he's playing at Glasto, it would seem.

ghandi
"How many albums do you think someone needs to have recorded to headline Glastonbury?" Now you see this is interesting because it also raises the question of who if any out these that have not already headlined are around that have had more than two albums out and are " popular" enough to warrant a headline spot , whether you they deserve it or not. Within a popular concensious, i bet that there are not many.
The Nal
God, if only Come to think of it, he's good mates with Keith Richards, maybe the Stones headlining would have a silver lining after all...

thewayiam
Pulp didn't technically play, they played a secret slot ....think about it for a second why they might "lie" in that particular incidence...or they hadn't been booked yet

mrtourette
I think people are overestimating their popularity somewhat. Biggest band in the world right now? Not a chance.
Guest
I'm not denying they're weirdly popular, but my point was that there's no way they're the biggest band in the world. I proved that with Adele and McCartney and that's just on the British side. I'll toss One Direction in there as well to get the c**ts off the podium. Then we have a long list of international acts who dick on them populartity wise as well. Hopefully they'll throw out an even shitter third album and disappear for good. Superscally
you 'proved' it..? by citing Adele and Macca... 2 people well known (around my way) for not being a band. anyways... who cares. They're - probably - the biggest new-ish band that plays cod folk music who could, but hopefully won't, be on at Glastonbury.
