The kind of annoying thing is that the Daily Star's rampant speculation more likely means Prince will NEVER play because he'll get more pissed off that they're "selling the festival using his name".

Unless they're right, of course. But I doubt it.

Although people have laughed at the idea of Prince being considered a back-up for the Rolling Stones, I can actually see there being an element of truth to it. If plans for Prince have fallen through in the past because, like the Stones, he's a greedy sod, what's to stop Glasto offering him a million due to the Stones saying no? Jagger and co saying no could potentially make this the one year Prince is in with a chance, because the money is already put to one side. Very unlikely both acts would play though, surely there's not enough in the pot for both?

Also, if Eavis can't achieve his long-term mission of bagging the Stones, getting another elusive headliner might soften the blow for him

I watched Coma Girl at the start an went off to see Jarvis. Also, Hard Rock Calling 2013: dullest headliners ever? Every festival line-up this year that gets announced this year is worse than the last. Obviously Glasto will buck this trend... won't it?

Hasnt neil claimed he knows the 2014 headliners already and that they are all booked? I think neil also mentioned prince never commits to a festival until a few weeks before it starts. This would rule him out of being booked for 2014 which hopefully means he's more likely for this year, but I cant see it.

I have this horrific feeling florence and the machine will end up headlining this year.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
