It's because there's a lot of fear mongering and putting 2+2 together and coming up with 1745.

Arguably you have to be on a wave of popularity, with a big record coming out which will probably be your breakthrough, and coming off the back of big previous recent performances, something I don't think fits Dizzee at all. (Arguably all these fit the most recent acts to come through from big festivals; Kings Of Leon, Arcade Fire, Kasabian). He was arguably in a much stronger position to headline in 2010. I don't think he's fit to do it out of the blue.

In addition, we don't really know how tricky it has been in previous years to get headliners. It could be like this every year. We know there was a relatively similar position in 2010, and we know in 2011, they changed headliners in the same year as the festival.

I had a weird dream last night.

Yeah I dreamt about glastonbury (don't laugh) but it was of the first lineup announcement.

The first announcement was Lady gaga headlining the Sunday, along with other acts which days/stages were unconfirmed.

Smashing pumpkins, two door cinema club, Noel Gallagher and Bombay bicycle club. It got all my excited when I realised it was a dream :(

Don't know what this does for Kanye's chances of headlining, with or without Jay Z, but he's headlining a festival in New York the weekend after Glastonbury http://prettymuchamazing.com/news/guns-n-roses-is-governors-ball-2013s-secret-headliner (that is the weekend after Glastonbury isn't it?).

Nas, Grizzly Bear, Kendrick Lamar, Edward Sharpe &TMZ, Bloc Party, Of Monsters and Men, DFA 1979, Crystal Castles, Azealia Banks, Best Coast, Dinosaur Jr., Fucked Up, and Haim all appear on the bill too, apart from the fact that KoL and GnR are two of the headliners, I'd say that's a pretty sweet line-up, I'd love to see a lot of these acts at Worthy Farm.

Aha, that says June and not July, I can't be bothered to read whole words on Sundays, I read the first two letters and assume the rest of it. Didn't we establish that his kid is actually due quite some time after Glastonbury? And, let's be honest, is anything birthed by Kim Kardashian really worth missing... well, anything over?

    • was happy to swerve the main stages on Saturday, but thought it was fine for The Cure, we just went down the opposite side & got a decent spot close to the front, everyone into it (admittedly a bit off to the side)   a festival that now books Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise set isn't going to get any smaller, for better or for worse it is miles apart from when I was first going   personally I still find the people amazing, never have any hassle & the line ups are always so strong & diverse.  We will definitely return for the 25th anniversary next year!
    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
