2013 Headliners

are people falling for these 'leaked' posters, still?

It's massively more likely that any 'leaked' poster is more likely to be a fake than it is genuine. There's even templates floating around for many of the fests now, so that anyone can easily make their own.

It doesn't get to mean that every poster is a fake of course, but there's absolutely no reason to put any belief in them unless there's something else along with the poster to give it some credibility.

Would that not fit in nicely with the Arctics/Stones info you have thus making it more likely?
not really. We know that *someone* will headline the Sunday. That's about all there is right now.

I do have some info which puts Fleetwood Mac as headlining the Sunday, but I've no idea how much it can be trusted and I've yet to make the checks I make over info I get.

sh!t. a part of me was really starting to believe that The Throne might actually be headlining, but Fleetwood Mac seems a lot more realistic. i'm really torn on whether i want to see Fleetwood - on the one hand, seeing the likes of The Chain live would be incredible, but on the other hand, bar Rumours (and a few other select songs) i couldn't give a f*ck about what they do. hopefully they'll do some shows beforehand so i can get an idea of the setlist

I'll definitely be watching Fleetwood Mac (unless they happen to clash with somebody like Daft Punk, Kraftwerk or Sigur Ros). Not a massive Stones fan - they've (unbelievably) passed me by over the years and I've never really been able to get into them. Arctic Monkeys would be excellent for a bit of nostalgia, but if there was somebody better on, I'd give them a miss.

I would have to see the Stones, Arctic Monkeys intrigue me depending on the set they do, would i take the gamble? Now as i used to love Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood mac do have some good tunes and do like them, i am not that inthused if they headline and would probably choose somewhere else. The problem is our group would want to be together for a last night bash/ singalong this would split the group as one of us has already said they are going to be at Fleetwood if they played. If thats the case i hope they don't headline on Sunday.

Fleetwood Mac will do a good job of closing the festival, no doubt. a more 'classy' end to the festival, but a good one none the less. but just how incredible would it've been to end the festival by bouncing around to N*ggers In Paris like seven times!? here's hoping for a really good Other headliner the Sunday night - as much as i love the smaller stages, i just love ending festivals out in the open, with thousands of people, everybody losing their sh!t

Really don't have so much interest in Fleetwood Mac, I'd actually rather have Gaga, even though I think her music is shite, I reckon she'd be more fun. She's popular because what people want out of pop music these days is meaningless toss they can get tanked up and dance to. I'd rather be tanked up and dancing to Gaga than bored shitless at Fleetwood Mac.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
