So out of 10 how would you rate Glasto 2009?

Just interested like, because all in all it was pretty good for me. No hassle, plenty of random friendly meetings, loads of beer,cider,other stuff and getting down to some damn fine tunes!

I give 2009 a splendid 9 out of 10 based on the great atmosphere, an excellent mix of different music, and the general presentation of the whole festival. Oh and not to mention the beautiful sunny weather and the lack of wet sloshy cold mud! In comparison I'd give 2000 a 10 and maybe 97 a 1.

I'd do a poll but I can't get my head round it!

Probably 9/10.

I think I would have enjoyed the vibe of Glasto a little more 7+ years ago. Much more of a hippier free for all and togetherness vibe than nowadays. There was no crackdown on nudity back then - people could walk around nude if they wished with no interception from security staff and the police, and the Greenpeace showers were unisex - unlike nowadays where they've got this sex segregated setup for some reason. What's the reasons behind that? It's not in the tradition of Glastonbury and Greenpeace! Probably society and political correctness changes have caused these changes.

So as I said 9/10. But probably a 10/10 for the Glasto from 7+ years ago.

9.5/10 - Was simply brilliant but would have been a 10 if I had explored Shangri-La, Arcadia etc a little bit more (only really went there once or twice at night) but that's my fault.

I'm not sure how people can give a 10 (or 11 ) when it rained most of Friday morning and was pretty muddy over all the main walkways and busy parts until the evening. That's the only reason I downgrade my score from top marks to an 8.

Absolute top marks would come from me only if there was no rain at all over the week, perhaps just a little shower

8 - not as good as 05 for me (spookily same weather pattern), as there were just too many people this time. Still a fantastic weekend though

79 to 84 - 10/10

This year :

Music 10/10 (not that I actually care who's playing as long as they can entertain)

Campervan field/access etc - 2/10 (not being able to pop back for things easily was a right pain)

Atmosphere/Vibe - Weds 10/10 but by Sunday 3/10 (except for south of the railway, which remained a good chill/relax at 10/10)

Facitlities/Shops and such - 3/10

Overall, 5/10, very disappointed. Looking for a back-to-basics festival for next year, one that puts the punters before the traders. Several to go at it seems, one of which charges traders very little rent for their pitch as long as prices are low - £2.20 for real ale this year, so it can be done and still they gave Oxfam a good donation.
