Other Stage Headliner/Pyramid Sub 27

Start another one, think as these two are quite interchangeable as per previous years make sense to do them together. 

 

Seems like these guys are quite likely to be a favourite for Other Stage.

2013 last time these guys headlined the Other Stage -  they have now not played in a little while and are back at the peak of their powers.

Or....  as a dance alternative to C&S -    they have played a lot I think i have seen them myself their 8 times on much smaller stages - but time for them to hit Glasto peak.... maybe

Both C and S and Bicep are good shouts,  I reckon there’s a world we could see both play next year.

Finish up with an absolute wild shout.......   bit out my depth when i went to Download, not too much on the line up to my tastes but these guys were incredible -  not sure we would actually get them at Glastonbury head of headlining Download the same month but lets call it an outsider.

Chase can't really play West Holts after doing that massive show they did.

Think Tom Rowlands will still be on Tomora duty next year (they have already self confirmed for Glasto)

I'd definitely be backing The XX at the moment. That or Other, and I can't see them not playing tbh.

 

Chemical Brothers - it does seem mad how long it's been since a live set, given they had that spell of playing once every four years. I've seen them three times, and f**k me it's good. You'd imagine they'd need a new record to be back (last one 2023?), and it also needs to be dark, doesn't really work otherwise. Dunno where that leaves them, beyond Other headliners... again.

They can easily honour their sub booking but I reckon with how successful their tour sold, plus the fact that they’re headlining Download next time they play there, makes me think they can easily be bumped up.

Also think Rosalia is a decent shout for Other headliner. Very acclaimed new album and tour and definitely good for counter programming against a rock headliner like Foos/Muse/Fender.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see Yungblud getting a sub slot next year. Has blown up massively since his Woodsies slot in 2022, consistent arena artist and is headlining a lot of the European rock festivals as well as Bludfest.

The only other option is the greatest secret set of all time in Woodsies. But that would need to be a good few years away at this point I'd think, much more likely to just headline Other again (and smash it again)

Obviously we have had her quite recently but she has managed to put out another Album & an EP since then -  not sure she would Sub Headline again but maybe an Other Stage headline

I'd love Simz to headline Other.  The sound is great there these days and atmosphere has been great the last few times I've enjoyed a headliner there.

 

It feels like Other headline is the only slot the XX could play now, too big for Woodsies, not big enough for the big one.  

 

Jungle have new music in the pipeline, and will have an album to tour, I think they'd kill it as an Other stage headliner, and with the crowds they pull at the festival they could easily fill the space.
