Not sure I get the idea but Tame Impala isn't coming.

Wouldn't surprise me tbf. I assumed the arena dates in April/May would be it for them in Europe this cycle.

Tempted to ponder aloud if Muse are on the radar of this? Seem to be active in 2026 but not in Europe for the June/July ones judging by their Milwaukee Summerfest announcement.

Guys, few days ago deftones announced more dates in europe and guess what they will be returning to europe on 18th august to germany so they could maybe be also on sziget if they would arrive little sooner

I saw that and did wonder if they might be a possibility. I know their name but couldn't name any of their songs. Gave them a listen earlier in the week, expecting to say "oh, they did that one!" and I genuinely didn't know one of their songs.

Didn't find their songs particularly accessible either, so would be surprised if they had many 'casual' fans. Can't say I'd be overly happy if they get announced - are they playing any festivals?

Oh, absolutely. Some people will love them and some won't. I'm not keen but if they were announced I'm sure they'd sell a decent number of day tickets. I'll disappear to Magic Mirror for a couple of hours when they're on!

Yeah, they're headlining Cabaret Vert in France and All Points East in London. But I don't think they're the right fit for Sziget.

I mean well sziget had years before slipknot, linkin park and even limp bizkit and now when gerendai is back this genre could also get back with him yk

I think the most important question we can ask, any of us, on any subject is............................any chance of Wet Leg?

They're in Portugal in August (doing a festival that takes place between the 12-15th), so... not impossible but not very likely either. They've not really been playing in Eastern Europe so far.

Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and I guess even Slipknot nowadays are way more appealing to the mases. Deftones are more niche and just not big enough to headline mainstream event like Sziget.

Maybe its just a wishful thinking, but maybe sziget bring Olivia from Glastonbury

Well we know that two headliners for R&L were booked in the summer so there's every chance this has been cooking for a while. I mean it is a hefty clue.

Agree, they headlined INmusic in 2022 in front of maybe 3000, max 5000 people.

@NomadicMan don't think so. I already posted this, it's a long drive from Budapest to Oslo...but who knows.

If they want a big comeback for SZIGET, Olivia (or Doja - but please let it be Olivia) is a must, after that we are not having Sabrina or Tate.

Bringing Lorde and Florence would be such a bop, but they have already performed in Hungary.

I think the audience needs fresh names, and if not main headliners, some new names like JADE, JENNIE or Zara Larsson (who really deserves the SZIGET-stage).

Agree, Olivia would be a huge get. I coud see it happenning too as a statement of intent. Get Turnstile to sub her and freak out the kids who turn up early and hog the front barrier for ten hours!
