Rock en Seine.

Some nice names that could be available. Lots of potentially subs and Revolut headliners.

Interpol into The Cure, beautiful.

Really well curated, I hope/think we could get from this list:

- sombr

- Ravyn Lenae

- Black Keys

- Biffy Clyro (personal preference)

- Turnstile

- Amyl & The Sniffers

Im starting to worry, sziget will have to weakest lineup.. too many good competitors, best artist are already too busy to fit sziget’s schedule

We'll find out in the next couple of weeks, but I really can't envisage the new owners opening with a third-rate set of acts tbh.

Its the weekend before most of these other festivals and is across lots of days - so they can get acts on days when other festivals aren't even operating.

The issue is the bookers might book a load of crap more than anything!!

Why would you not mention deftones 😭 they are literally the biggest from all those

Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and I guess even Slipknot nowadays are way more appealing to the mases. Deftones are more niche and just not big enough to headline mainstream event like Sziget.

I didn't say a word about headlining they could be just performing as a mid big name on mainstage or revolut  it looks like they are trying to do as much festivals as possible

because it might be "too metal" for Sziget ^^

Anyway, this ReS line up is BEAUTIFUL 😍

I'm going 'cause it's 30 minutes from home, but I'd still LOVE to see Turnstile, Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand and Interpol at Sziget ! 🙏

They are only headlining by the looks of it. It seems they don’t want to take the lower slots.

Lorde + Teddy Swims day with Pink Pantheress on the undercard
Twenty One Pilots + Sombr day
Florence + The Machine

DJ day (Calvin Harris?

Wildcard day

also have a feeling Moby will take one of the Armin van Buuren/Justice/Nelly Furtado/Papa Roach "sub-head" spots

or am I asking for too much?

also PRAYING for The xx but feels very unlikely

It looks quite realistic, but not too interesting for me, too predictible, sziget can do better than that.. it needs more new/fresh names, maybe some rock or at least a real big top tier headliner

For me way out west has the dream lineup

There's a few really nice lineups next year. Personally Primavera, Way out West, Rock en Seine, Oya look really good. Werchter and Mad Cool if you are into main stream acts.

Sziget? Probably the most difficult to predict.

Weren't you posting about going to RES when you thought Sziget isn't happening? You must be regretting now opting for Sziget?

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
