2000 Trees 2026

Recommended Posts

Quality line up this year. Strong spread across the board, even with slightly smaller headliners.

Arcane Roots, FFAF, The Scratch, Militarie Gun, Mariachi El Bronx all amazing additions and then I'm loving some of the new bands I've checked out since yesterday:

Stress Positions, Still In Love, Dead Pioneers, Hammok.

Add those to

PUP, Pool Kids, Heart Attack Man, The Dirty Nil, Dinosaur Pile Up, Alpha Male Tea Party, Alkaline Trio, Saturdays At Your Place and Glassjaw, it's shaping up to be an amazing weekend.

okay so, I think there could still be a shot at Billy Talent being at Trees

had the realisation today that those two blurred out dates on their EU tour could be more EU dates at festivals and not include any UK dates

they could be the final headliner

They could be but I doubt it. They haven't even been announced for the Offspring show that they were "leaked" for and I guess that they pulled out of that. I can't see them sticking around 2 weeks for Trees.

With Glassjaw moving up to the headliner level I reckon they've been bumped up to co-headline and they're going to co-headline with someone like Malev

Billy Talent would be such a lazy addition alongside FFAF and Alkaline Trio. I don't want 2000trees to become the Y-Not for nostalgic 00s emo.

Fingers crossed they'll give someone new a shot at a headline slot.

Billy Talent for Trees should have happened long ago and FFAF. It's quite a dull lineup this year though I think, more so than usual. Marmozets are the stand out.

Shame I'm away that week as that would be a great show to go to. Doesn't completely rule them out of Trees, AOF are still playing Outbreak after all, but definitely very unlikely now

Yeah I would say London being closer to trees than outbreak probably puts them out.

24th June is my bday, could be a fun way to spend it

It will rule them out, AOF are bigger than Billy Talent who are very lucky to be getting a full set as apart of any Wembley Arena date, and I say that as a big fan of that album.

I agree, only thing I think is that they weren't in the last announcement because this needed to be on sale first but that's a slim thinking.

Ah well, frank turner to headline it is

I'd be massively surprised if Frank isn't headlining 2027 for the 20th anniversary.

I'm going for one of Billy Talent or Malevolence as final headliner.

Frank will headline every year going forward.

I agree he'll probably do next year but I think it would be a waster of a slot, I'd prefer if they got him to special opening slot or something

Malevolence are too small and also too heavy to headline surely?

Rise Against are ruled out now as they are already booked on the 11th July.  James has said on the Pod that shows in London are not necessarily an issue for them for headliners- Alexisonfire did two London dates last year I think. However,  a Wembley show is a bit different to say Brixton Academy.

It would explain the lack of announcement for Billy Talent as a headliner for Trees, but with no other dates confirmed between 26th June and 17th July it seems like a long time for them to stick around in Europe.

James has also said on the Pod they couldn't come to an agreement with Creeper but maybe that was a bluff?

Amyl and the Sniffers also have still not announced the other UK dates- though July is not really in the same "timeframe" as August when the other shows are.

For Malevolence they played Brixton Academy last year so could be considered big enough now, and as for too heavy I think James has said that he noticed that some of the heavier bands at Trees had some of the biggest crowds.

Still think While She Sleeps could be in the running, seem to have new music soon and any other fests they would play look pretty full already.

Amyl and the sniffers never said they were specifically UK shows, could be European ones.

Difference being the Alexisonfire Brixton announcement came after the trees announcement (I think) which is normally fine, if it's the other way round it becomes more of an issue

Somehow he didn't realise why The Cave was busier was because of the shade it provided more than anything

Nevermind they announced they're taking an extended break from touring to write their next music, with a cringey 6 minute long video on how itll be the best stuff they've ever done

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
