Superheaven are headlining the Axiom Thursday, so they'll be second or third down I'd imagine.

A slight diversion from lineup speculation...

 

I have bought my 2 daughters tickets for 2000 trees as a Christmas present (i know.. cool dad).  Neither them, nor I have been before, so have a few questions. 

 

Is there an easy drop off point near to festival entry 

Is it easier to drop them off at Cheltenham station as I believe there is a shuttle 

Or is there a coach from Bristol they can get that im unaware of? 

 

I've been listening to some of the bands and I'm almost thinking I might just get myself a ticket (im loving battle snakes) although I'm sure they wouldn't want me to cramp their style.

Get a ticket! You don't even have to camp with them if they're too uncool for you 😂 its a very friendly festival so you'd quickly make friends.

The drop off for cars and the shuttle is the same spot iirc and really not far from the entrance (just a bastard of a hill). Don't believe there's any coaches outside of the Cheltenham shuttle.

 

Would highly recommend getting yourself a ticket! I went along solo in 2019 after splitting with my ex not long before the festival and met people who are some of my best friends today.

I can't recommend it personally as I've not done it before, but I've heard the groups that get set up on social media for solo campers to meet and camp together is always very friendly

Haha.  I'm going to shambala so don't know if I have the stamina and money to do 2 festivals but I'll give it some thought. 🙂

Not sure there was much of a fight. I got the impression that Trees and Creeper couldn't agree on where they should sit on a bill.

Yup, and I definitely sees Trees point on it. They're very hard to pin down in terms of tickets sales

They're doing a big room tour later in the year, so if that sells well I'd expect them to headline next year.

After headlining the Axiom is natural they want the next step up to headline the main stage, but yeah I don't know if they're there or not

It would be pretty poor for Trees if they had a headliner that plays 4th down second stage. They've had headliners 10 years ago when it was much smaller played 3rd second stage. The likes of JEW might still get away with headlining it and they played 3rd down on the main stage, not 5th.

They don't book based on where Download have booked them and like I said they're doing a bigger tour later this year to try and prove they can do the numbers.

Even though a late in the year album release suited creeper due their horror/Halloween vibe.

However i can see this being tricky for bookers to gauge how the album will do for a band especially one the size of creeper

Its a case of comparison to festivals elsewhere though. They literally doing larger amount of small academy tours aren't they? They booked AOF and Kneecap recently who are way bigger that Creeper. AOF played 3rd down at Download in a very strong year. Booked Taking Back Sunday who I believe are probably subbing Slam Dunk, Creeper are way below that.

And next year is 10 year anniversary of Enternity and I suspect they'll do some shows for it, a Trees headline slot being one of them
