2000 Trees 2026

Recommended Posts

mulling over in my head who the final headliner could be;

Rise Against - small gap in their tour schedule, they'd have to fly to UK and then straight back to Austria after but it is possible? but they do already have some UK shows announced which would ruin Trees shot at any exclusivity

Trivium - in Europe at the right time to be announced but already playing Download quite high up

Billy Talent - Have already announced that big UK show with Alexisonfire, but that might not rule them out entirely just yet

Malevolence - UK based, getting pretty sizeable and have nothing announced past June yet

Feeder - hard to pin down these days, seem to play just about anywhere, lots of odd little festivals

Enter Shikari - next to no chance given their big headline tour upcoming that they want to sell tickets to

The Hives - in Spain on the only day available for a headline slot

AFI - pretty much no chance now that they've been announced for All Points East big Deftones show

Amyl & The Sniffers - not due in the UK til August, also announced for All Points Easy, extremely doubtful

Jimmy Eat World - next to no chance given they already have their three big Bleed American anniversary shows upcoming in the UK

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - not got much in the calendar, would potentially be a bit of a wildcard so unsure on how likely this could be

Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls - can we just not, please James please no

Turnstile - likely ruled out because of how big they're getting alongside their UK shows being set for August, rather than July

IDLES - in Slovakia a couple days before the 11th July, could potentially fly back and play a show? a few other UK festival dates in their calendar however

Underoath - nothing in the calendar between May and August according to their website, would fit in REALLY well alongside Glassjaw to be fair but would they come all the way over from the US just to play Trees? (I can dream)

Biffy Clyro - too big too expensive let's be honest this just isn't happening

what could I have missed?

Hot Mulligan

I don't feel like Hot Mully are quite at headliner point yet, I feel they're kinda in the same realm as Creeper like yes they've headlined the Axiom but I don't think they are quite ready for main stage headline

Except they've grown quite a bit since headlining The Axiom. They have pretty much sold out their UK tour which is all largish academies. The only date not sold out is London which just has a handful of seats left. The benchmark for a headliner is basically a fully sold out Academy tour or selling out Brixton. I feel like if it was a one off show, then Hot Mulligan could do the later as well. I know that legacy bands get higher positions than newer bands but it's more than Alkaline Trio or Taking Back Sunday have done. James also made some comments about the announcement being the 1st/2nd week of March which is around when their tour finishes and Glassjaw have moved up the headline level so I could see it being done as a co-headliner deal.

They're doing a full European tour so I suspect Euro fests will fill some of that gap too.

I don't see them coming back over here or Europe at all this summer personally.

Also think it would be quite an underwhelming Saturday headliner

Where are we getting it from that they are all largish academies?

They are doing the likes of Oxford Academy which is 1500k. London Islington Hall is 950. The rescue rooms in Notts is pretty small. Chalk in brighton is 900. Manchester Academy is the only big capacity date.

Most of their dates are one bands choose when they do a really small intimate tour. There is no even London Hammersmith, Sheprherds Bush is 2000 and they aren't doing that. If they were doing Brixton, Manchester Victoria and so forth they are in the conversation.

Glassjaw if they are part of a headliner suggests they have struggles this year too quite a bit.

He's talking about Hot Mulligan not Creeper

Its an intimate f**kin tour does nobody read in here? Jesus wept

To be fair that comment has all those bands mentioned in the same comment.

End of the day until Creeper announce these bigger dates that are going to prove their size then there is nothing to go buy to suggest they are at the current Trees headliner level.

    • It can take around 30-45 mins to walk from the arena back to the transport hub with the crowds, depending on density. Allow even longer in poor conditions. I don't think you'd need to leave Linkin Park early though, you have at least an hour and 20 minutes to walk to transportation. I certainly wouldn't leave early in your shoes, knowing I can just walk to the airport if needs be (2 mile walk and another 30 - 45 min walk depending on your walking speed and conditions.) Maybe just don't linger too long for the toilet / food after Linkin Park have finished.  It will definitely make sense and all just fall into place on the night, don't worry too much and have a great time. The very worst that can happen is a little extra walking to the Airport Skylink bus stop, as those Skylink busses are 100% 24 hour. 🙂  GFS, ICON and ECMWF are ALL in agreement on the latest runs.... After a mildly moist Weds and Thurs, high Pressure building from Friday... Lets just hope they continue to agree... ☀️☀️☀️
