Top 5 songs seen live 25

It was SO good this year. I tried, but there was no way I could get it down to five, so sorry (not sorry). I have limited myself to no more than one from a given artist, but quite a few on this list played more than one song I could have chosen. Probably best surprises of the weekend for me were Shaboozey and Brandi Carlile. Went in knowing very little of their stuff, and both were excellent…. Shaboozey covering Bob Dylan, and Brandi covering both Radiohead and Joni Mitchell were very nice surprises for me. Here’s the list…..

Searchers Mr Tambourine Man

Shaboozey Tipsy

Shed Seven Chasing Rainbows

Snow Patrol Chasing Cars

Brandi Carlile Fake Plastic Trees

Alanis Morissette Hand in Pocket

Neil Young Like a Hurricane

Olivia Rodrigo Friday I’m in Love

Kaiser Chiefs  I Predict a Riot

Fratellis Chelsea Dagger

Rizzle Kicks Down With the Trumpets

Rod Stewart First Cut is the Deepest

John Fogerty Have You Ever Seen the Rain

Billy Bragg Greetings to the New Brunette

Wolf Alice Bros

Gary Numan Are Friends Electric

Sorry just cant keep it to 5 - impossible 😂

This year was just so, so good - even narrowing down to 2 from Wolf Alice's set alone was difficult as they were so good.

Lorde - Green Light
Inhaler - My Honest Face
Alanis Morissette - Ironic
The 1975 - Too Shy
The 1975 - Robbers
Biffy Clyro - Many of Horror
Pulp - Common people
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
Wolf Alice - How Can I Make It OK? into a lush cover of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams
Wolf Alice - Don’t Delete the Kisses (on barrier with sun setting to the left - just magical)
Prodigy - Firestarter

I can vividly remember everyone single one of these - feel very blessed to have been able to hear all of these on the farm.  Memories to cherish

Hesitated on this as were too many to narrow down to 5 from what I saw at the festival but here goes now the dust has settled so to speak:

Selecter - On My Radio

Neil Young - Old Man

Pulp - Something's Changed

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (they were my surprise emotional set after just wandering up to the Other on an impulse about 3 or 4 songs in)

The Prodigy - Breathe (but may as well say the whole set, they and the crowd made for one of my greatest live experiences....)

Feels hard to not list Wolf Alice, Fcukers, Antony Szmierek covering True Faith, Fatboy Slim at Lonely Hearts if that counts (the Talking Heads sample was a highlight for me.)

okay, time to list the other fantastic honorable mentions that I can still remember now lol as it was such an unforgettable, life-changing Glastonbury first experience for me - hearing these songs at the farm (be it expectedly or shocking surprise with only the Glasto atmosphere can do that to me) and be able to sing-along with the BEST LIVE MUSIC (FESTIVAL or whatnot) CROWD in the world:

Living for The Weekend ; Cash Machine ; Hard to Beat ; Move on Now - Hard-Fi

Ballad of Homeschooled Girl ; Traitor ; Drivers License ; Good 4 U … I guess all the songs in the set ; she did a stellar job on everything in that set - pop, pop-rock, rock, indie etc and the collab with Robert Smith was the icing on the cake - Olivia Rodrigo (maybe same with Ichiko Aoba & Yann Tiersen’s - all of what they did

(edit: did not mean for the below text to have bigger fonts or that I typed first from somwhwhere then copy pasted here lol!)

Take Me Out ; Walk Away ;  This Fire ; Jacqueline - Franz Ferdinand

Common People ; Do You Remember The First Time? ; Babies - Pulp

Broken Man ; Flea - St. Vincent (might as well - all of what these 3 above artists brought/performed at their sets)

Your House, X-Ray - Inhaler

Moving - Supergrass

True Faith ; Twist Forever -  Antony Szmierek

CPR - Wet Leg

Have You Ever Seen The Rain - John Fogerty

Sailing - Rod Stewart

Shells - Westside Cowboy

Can’t Stand Me Now - The Libertines

so many more I am forgetting at the top of my mind, can’t rank them!

I knew that I can’t make a list lol and if I forgot something I will never forgive myself for not adding it …

Tied Up Too Tight - Hard-Fi was also up there and the whole crowd there just like me up went all-out for the mid-2000s British indie explosion nostalgia. What an incredible night with the world’s best live music crowd as in the end we blew Richard Archer/all members of the band’s minds!
