The lack of Sabrina and Chappell from any summer 2026 dates so far (I think) maybe suggests they won't be in Europe that summer and more likely for 2027.

Still think Sabrina might turn up late summer 2026. Agreed about Chappell though. I wonder whether Gaga will still be about as I’d imagine Glasto would want her.

Foo Fighters - Lady Gaga - Oasis for 2027. If they don’t get Gaga, Chappell or Sabrina in 2027 I struggle to see what female headliner they’ll go for

To be honest Chappell said a while back it would be her last tour for a while so her not being about is not expect. She's doing an area early next year she hasn't yet. I only really like Pink Pony Club though but its a banger. Sabrina I think is the same situation unless its late summer but she's well toured and you've got to know when to step away, keep the interest going later. Too many acts overplay and it goes one way. I actually dont think Glastonbury will get Sabrina.

I think the female could be any number of acts. I dont think anything Liam or Noel say or have said about Glastonbury means anything.

"Ive got to include "the female""

I know what you’re saying but she defo has this in mind. For example it’d be easy for them to book Lewis Capaldi, Foos & one of Oasis/Harry Styles/Fender/Fred Again etc. however I think if they had 2 of those locked in she’d be looking at the gender balance. Kinda the reason why they had Lizzo on the top line when they booked AM, GNR & Elton the other year.

100%, it wouldn't be so bad of she didnt force it and just let it happen naturally as that's when things go wrong. SZA moving up, the festival in a mass early leave, Idles who we knew weren't booked like 2 weeks before vs Fontaines for exmaple. Really avoidable mistakes that I dont think she's quite grasped yet despite how long she's been doing it. No issues with females being given chances, I've been listening to loads of female acts recently but you have to balance it all correctly and not only just not force bookings but place them correctly without thinking to hell with the outcome....because there has been multiple incidences now where planning was not considered. That's the biggest let down part for the festival currently.

That's very kind of you.

I'm sure all the females are incredibly grateful too.

Why is there always some kind of issue with something?, if it hadn't been put there then there would be a problem to bring up and you've clearly written it sarcastically but have pulled up the original point of it being in her thinking.

Could Olivia Dean be in the frame? Seems to have completely blown up in a matter of months.

O-Dean feels like she could slot in nicely for the Saturday night sub headliner slot which Raye did this year

She's not subbing off of 6 02 nights. She might not headline yet if they don't believe she's got a fanbase broader outside of her people but it would be by far the biggest sub they've had. They had Florence booked as a sub when she wasnt that big and they had Liam as a sub when he could sell decent in Manchester but not 6 02 dates.

Olivia Dean isn't headlining Glastonbury in 2027 unless she releases an album that goes mental between now and then. Right now she's a sub.

She'd be mad to accept sub if the festival was on next year.

If she keeps pace with a big single or two, based off 6 O2s shes clearly a headliner.

After a fallow year there should be better options I think though!

She's clearly a headliner because she's done 6 nights at the O2. Is that the metric now? She just doesn't have enough material for a headline slot.

Throw in Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Raye, Rhianna, Madonna, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Chapel Roan, Charli XCX...etc etc

All these female acts are ahead of Oliva Dean to headline for 2027.

She is headliner 'level' but she won't be doing it in 2027. The fanbase is there, not the broad appeal though yet. She won't carry across well headlining the Pyramid currently, it would turn into a SZA problem.

It's not the metric but to be honest I don't know how anyone can question an act on 6 02 dates and then put Charli XCX before her who by the way isn't on the same level as the rest of who you mentioned there currently and I wouldn't include her in the in before pecking order.

I did say there were better options

As said she has 2 albums thats enough

How many does Chappell Roan have again?

With a new album / some more hits it could work - lot can change in 18 months. But post fallow there will hopefully be a better option!

Oh don't get me wrong I think 'on paper' she is 'too big' to sub.

I just wouldn't be surprised if she still agreed to play that slot if post fallow Emily has eyes on one of those Saturday night 'mega star' bookings

We have just seen Chappell Roan somehow agree to sub-headline Reading Festival

Oliva Dean has 2 good albums. Chapel Roan has more quality material from her one album than OD has across two. There are many metrics to consider as others have mentioned and you're right, you can't ignore 6 nights at the O2 but I just don't see her as next in line to headline. She's more 'x-factor' and exposure.

I certainly don't think she's too big to Sub either.

Chappell Roan around when they booked R&L had 3 nights at Brixton Academy.

Her rise was very strange vs basically any other act, not the best comparison I think.
