From memory, he has done both in the same year in the past.

He did Glastonbury and Hard Rock Calling in the same year. So same venue, but a different festival/promoter.

Don't think Glastonbury makes him any more or less likely for BST, as there's no direct link between the two. The only thing it would mean is that BST wouldn't have exclusivity on him, if that was a deal breaker for them (Glastonbury notably don't insist on that).

Hey, I'm thinking about getting tickets for Zach Bryan and have a few questions, I hope someone here can awnser. How good is the view to the stage from general admissions? Is it like normal festivals? Because the golden circle and Vip area seem quite big on the map

And when do they usually release the full lineup?

Thanks in advance

The Gold Circle is a fair size, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a decent view from GA, as long as you can accept that you’ll not be very close to the stage. The bottom line is if you’re at the front of GA, you’ll have more or less the same view as the rear of Gold Circle, for rather less money.

I don’t think the full line up is released until much closer to the event. They do sometimes release the odd name sooner though.

Wasn't there a massive hoo haa when

Neil young played it in 2019 and it ended up not being an official BST show?

Yeah, he objected to Barclays being a sponsor and very much doubt he like AMEX either.

I thought the speculation was an announcement would coincide with her Netflix Christmas special on Friday.

Unless I have really gone off the reservation and created my own narrative.

Your narrative Is correct

Since coming back after lockdown they've had 9/10, and we're up to 7 now I think? So, yeah, there's still space for another.

The allowance is 7 shows at 65k each, 2 shows at 50k, and then anything they run beyond that (so the "open house" events and the "all things orchestral" show a couple years ago) is capped at 5k.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
