Yup, which is good news. 100 ticket pairs total they're giving away, every day until the 20th. So, 4 or 5 or so winners per day? I remembered at the weekend to top up my Vodafone burner with 10 quid as I had a feeling this competition would start soon, and was pleased to see that I was able to access the rewards/competitions yesterday and saw that the Glasto one had gone live. No luck so far, two tries down but a dozen more tries to go!

Best of luck. Me and Ms Fay won a Vodafone Twitter comp the other year so it can be done 🤞

Hi all. I've been a bit absent recently. We're fortunate enough to have tickets and I had intended on being hot on the comps to post in here but you know how life can be.
We recently lost our border collie after a short but difficult battle with lymphoma. It's very strange not having to organise dog care for whilst we're at the festival.
We went on a last minute break down to Devon last week (and probably used up my child's fake illness absence that I was going to use for the festival but I'm sure we can have another mystery 'illness' that week). It made me so excited driving along the A303 🥰

I truly hope we get some lucky members this year!

Who do we have we need to be trying to win tickets for?

I'm trying like mad! Daily trip to the coop for cheese still.

Took me months to get through last years cheese supply. Still going through boxes of last years tea too!

Cheers, I'm having a punt on all the comps other than the booze ones; after several decades of drinking too much, I finally quit drinking at home last August. I then stopped going to the pub from new years, so am effectively dry now and buying cans of cider even with the intention of tipping them down the sink as soon as I've scanned the codes is too risky, too much temptation...

I once won Hoopla tickets through Vodafone, I won a day ticket and they messaged me a few days later offering me the second day for free. They have a great competitions team.

I'm going to be sick of cider, tea and cheese soon but will keep going until there is no other chance!

Still trying to find a Barbour jacket but already got the packaging ready to send one.

Any help would be great to get to my 10th festival!

Like last years shenanigans in London, I find Chillys comps the hardest.

Most rewarding mind . I like em just a shame nothing happens in deepest darkest Somerset and it’s in the big cities ( understand why )

(a cool bag)

yeah I think thats the one thats least wanted as a prize .... a few years ago I won 2 tents in that comp as I entered twice fairly close together .... so its definately based on timing of entry

Obviously doesn't have any mates, which is hardly surprising! 😞

I can see exactly where you are coming from, but the person does appear to be talking hypothetically - in terms of selling the spare ticket to the highest bidder. If I was in the same position, deep down, I'd be curious to know what the figure would be. As it is I have twice had Glastonbury tickets and didn't attend. However, I made sure that the tickets got to someone who wanted to get in. I never even asked for the price of the two tickets that I had paid for. On both occasions I gave the tickets to a mate and said 'give' the ticket to some non dodgy looking desperado on the outside of the festival - which was done ie. two tickets weren't wasted. However, now I'd be curious as to how much I could actually have got for them, even though I would still give the ticket(s) away, were that situation ever t arise again.

I guess the above is like a lot of things that one may want to know. I mean, I'd absolutely love to know how much I have spent on drink, drugs and taxi's during my life. I know that the figures are scandalous, but I don't know what those figures specifically stand at.

    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
