It's not like its going to be compulsory attendance at either the G or TRNSMT.  Folk who're actually enthusiastic about genocide will probably choose to stay away out of their own free will.  Anyone who does attempt a provocation will just be ignored.

I think people who are extremist on whatever pole or flag they pin themselves to (its naive to think only one "team" has extremists), will absolutely turn up for it.

I can't tell if this is genuine fear or just fear-mongering.

It will be fine, like every other Kneecap gig.

.. and that doesnt include the possibility someone wanders in with a Israeli flag or even an IDF logo flag just to stir sh*t up.

I don’t know what sort of mad fantasies you are having about the Glastonbury crowd but nothing that you are imagining will happen (and then getting worried and annoyed about happening even though it hasn’t happened or won’t happen), will happen.

Genuine concern.  Other kneecap gigs pre-dated the hezbolla flag press, and was a more self-selecting audience.

Well then, as you say, best to avoid the area if it puts your mind at ease.

But I will say the Glastonbury ticket sale also pre-dates all the Hezbollah stuff, so if you're concerned about terrorist sympathisers at Glasto, there's probably bigger worries than the Kneecap gig.

It will probably be fine, but I do genuinely think they should be moved to pyramid and an earlier slot.

and pray for rain.

Really not sure what you're envisaging happening here. They'll play. It will be busy, that's it.

kind of puts to bed the whole they do not support Hezbollah thing though...unless it's just more of that Irish satire and humour of course.

Ah, casual Irish xenophobia, 1970s style. Good one.

How does it put it to bed? This has been news for about a month. But yes they don’t support Hezbollah, and yes it was “more of that Irish satire”. As you know. Any questions give me a shout.

I think he's referring to my post before, looks like he's read a few of the words in it

Raising the flag that someone threw on stage one time does not mean they support Hezbollah. Tbh if I saw that I'd think it was a picture of a tow truck, I'm not that up to speed on my terror group logos these days though.

Surely the point they've laboured by now (that they dont support Hamas/Hezbollah) has got through? This wilful misrepresenting of them is part of why it's so hard to take the claims seriously

Ah yes, the classic act of catching a flag thrown on stage and instantly adopting the entire ideology it represents. Timeless stuff.

But sure, let’s keep the “Kneecap supports terrorism” loop running - way easier than actually engaging with what drove their anger: the ethnic cleansing unfolding in Gaza. Right?

I get all that...but the evidence is there with this don't support hezbollah/hamas thing...I mean the bloke in the balaclava posted a picture oh himself reading some hezbollah bloke, they've chanted up hamas or whatever, and he picked up this flag and paraded it.

But ok, it's all a joke or something.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
