Muse don't have any shows after 04.07. Playing two countries back to back seems not to be a problem for them, as in 2022 they played three (Italy-Portugal-UK). Playing before Sam Fender may be seen as downgrade, but a big enough paycheck could solve it.

I think that Portugal show in 2022 was a stand in as well as that was replacing Foo Fighters after Taylor Hawkins passed

How about The Killers.  End in the US at the end of June and not back touring until August.  Could fill the RW, Mad Cool, Nos spots easily

They did Mad Cool last year so I'm not sure if they'd be doing such repeat bookings so soon

If The Killers were available to book I'd imagine they'll have been got. The fact KOL didn't help to sell day tickets out eventually and combi are still available says a lot. I doubt they will entertain the same booking strategy next year.

Please let it be QOTSA! They just need to come to Europe 5 days earlier.

...and then I woke up...

(Yes I know they are playing Pukkelpop)

Personally anyone from only two years ago would be poor but get a first name at least.

Yeah fairpoint (didn’t look at that).

All 3 places need to sell tickets so you’d expect someone big ish to come.  Personally still think it’ll be Mumfords to the rescue

Feel like Pukkelpop might have something to say about the viability of QOTSA doing Werchter tbh

For me, it depends on who that is. If it's a band I really love like QOTSA or Pearl Jam, they can bring them over every two years for as long as they are active and I'll be fine with that :). I mean...some names are recurring anyway, it might as well be them. It's totally subjective of course!

Hasn’t it sold out? Might help things

Combis are sold out, the QOTSA day in not.

Under normal circumstances, there would be no chance that they'd do both festivals (I don't think there is a chance now either, I just want to keep dreaming). But in extreme circumstances with late cancellations, festivals in the same country that generally don't share their big names (RW, PKP, Graspop, etc.), might do so as they have done in the past (FNM in both Graspop and RW within 1-2 weeks apart is the latest example I remember). LN is behind all these festivals anyway...

Looks like Kasabian have replaced them at a festival in Spain: https://www.elespanol.com/quincemil/vivir/musica/20250528/kasabian-actuara-do-camino-kings-of-leon-cancela-concierto-razones-salud/1003743778957_0.html?utm_source=twitter_vigo&umbralhora=8.

Can't see them being big enough to fill this slot at Werchter though. I hope that they are replaced properly, and RW don't just bump up Raye et al.

Out of fear for what else poppy they might pull out, I'd take Kasabian in a heartbeat.

Placebo has recently finished a tour, and could possibly be dragged out of hibernation if they get a few festivals. Maybe they also can give Biffy the spot they want. As far as I know, they are available that day. Editors?

Muse for NOS and Mad Cool

Muse second down could be ok, but surely that must be an expensive replacement (which I absolutely think they could afford). Still hoping for Kasabian or Biffy though. Worst for me is if they go for Inhaler or something.

I'd love to have The Killers back. In terms of mid 2000s nostalgia acts that could go where KOL; they fit the bill nicely. There's also a 20th anniversary of Costello Music for The Fratellis

I saw Cynamde at Cross the Tracks last Sunday and they were excellent - not too bothered about who they get as they're a very good band to have in that slot anyway.

Springsteen before Young Springsteen? 🤣

Probably the only act you could see Sam maybe agreeing to switch co-headline / sub order with

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
